Any Northwestern College (Bridgeview) Students?

Are the classes completed in the sequence that is posted on their website? Where are their clinical sites? How many cohorts have graduated?

@smokey: I know what you mean about the white scrub pants. My uniform set arrived today... after ordering it almost a month ago. Still waiting on the nursing accessories kit.

@sburnett: Do you have your schedule? I got mine on Monday.

Any of you go to the orientation yesterday?

OMG..I still have to order my stuff...I just got the package of stuff on monday!!!

I was supposed to get my schedule today...but it hasn't come yet...she might have sent it in another envelope though. What day do you have lab and clinical?

I'm going to the one on the 6th...the orientation. Are you certified in CPR yet?? I still have to get that done

There's 2 sessions: day and evening. I reserved a seat for the day just to get it over with. I was CPR certified back in May.

Lucky! lol I'm glad you said something..I need to reserve a seat for the day also. I have training every night 6-10 M-F... I'll send her an email and reserve my seat.

You have clinicals with someone in our fb group... I think that's the Little Mary Hospital or something like that... do a search for NWC Nursing Class of 2013..something like that..:lol2: on fb and I'll add you to our group! You know what...Jazmin has to take math too..so you guys will probably have class together..I'm assuming...

Wondering if you ladies can give me a few pointers. I just got accepted into fall 2013 nursing program and I got my packet (which I'm working on)

I have a couple questions

1. Does anyone know what the accreditation process is like?

2. Do you guys like the program? Is it hard? When are classes? Clinicals? Where was the clinical?

3. Also, I saw flu shot. Do you have to take it? How can I get out of it?

I'm pretty excited and nervous about this program :)

Also has anyone graduated and were you able to find a job right away?

What do you mean about the accreditation process? Do you mean the NLN accreditation? If so...that's a LOOOOOOOOOOONG messed up story.... :madface:

The program is alot better now that there is a new dean...the program is extremely lucky to have her....honestly the former dean who started the program :devil:...bad news!:no:

Yes, you have to get one and you can't get out of it...believe me...I tried LOL

No hon..I had said that it was a looooong story about the whole NLN thing...there isn't one for the RN program...from what I hear...they are trying to possibly do a BSN bridge program that would have the NLN accreditation. The former dean...the one who started the program and who was the NLN Ambassador totally lied to everyone...students and teachers...and I'm sure everyone else involved at the school as well I'm sure...and never even applied for the NLN accrediation... but pretended like we were going through the process the entire time...

LOL you can't get out of it..believe me...I tried...it's the clinical sites that want you to have the shot and if you don't have the flu shot...you won't be allowed to do clinicals...

Wow! I see what you mean by when you said it's a longgg story! Lol I'm glad that they are finally in the process I just hope that they actually become accredited by then. How do you like it so far? Where do you have your clinicals at? I heard little company of Mary? How are the professors, course work? :)
