Any Northwestern College (Bridgeview) Students?

Are the classes completed in the sequence that is posted on their website? Where are their clinical sites? How many cohorts have graduated?

Any students attending this Fall?

No I am not to far away.... It will take me about 25 minutes to get to school each day... I'm thinking I will send off for my background check this Friday. Also has anyone completed their financial aid, I was told to wait until I got my official schedule.

That's cool! I'm in Chicago...near North and Ashland. How much is the background check? or do you do it on your own? I've done my fafsa for them a while ago and I did talk to financial aid before when I had taken the COMPASS...what else are you supposed to do?

I am in Chicago too near oak park... I believe the background check is $97.00, you also have to do a drug test and a physical, get , flu shot, tb test and have medical insurance. Oh and order your scrubs!!!!

You also need to have your CPR certification!!!

I seriously don't even want the flu shot.. I wonder if I can get out of getting that?? Damn..so how much is it gonna cost to get all this stuff??? LOL How much are the books? Anyone know?? Do I need my CPR certification before the clinicals start or before school starts? Do you guys have yours?

You have to have the certification by Sept. 6th....They did give a list of the books that we will be using as well in the packet so I will be trying to get them of of ebay or half.com, when I calculated it came out to be a little over $350 but it will depend on how much we can get the books for it may be higher.... Here are the prices for the items.....The CPR certificate cost is based from the price of the class given at Malcolm X college....Hope this helps!!!

Yeah I'm over here thinking the same exact thing "that's a lot of money".....But No I have not did my certification yet Malcolm X gives the class on the last Saturday of each month so I will do it at the end of August....That definitely sounds cool setting up a FB page or something like that cause it can help us out once we start classes!!!

Oh wow! I missed a lot of posts!

@smokey: I know what you mean about the white scrub pants. My uniform set arrived today... after ordering it almost a month ago. Still waiting on the nursing accessories kit.

@sburnett: Do you have your schedule? I got mine on Monday.
