  1. Hey guys!!! Have not posted in a while, I've been so busy trying to get all of this nursing stuff taking care of....My clinicals are set for Friday mornings....anyone taking math and know the ISBN number for the book???
  2. Yeah I'm over here thinking the same exact thing "that's a lot of money".....But No I have not did my certification yet Malcolm X gives the class on the last Saturday of each month so I will do it at the end of August....That definitely sounds cool setting up a FB page or something like that cause it can help us out once we start classes!!!
  3. You have to have the certification by Sept. 6th....They did give a list of the books that we will be using as well in the packet so I will be trying to get them of of ebay or half.com, when I calculated it came out to be a little over $350 but it will depend on how much we can get the books for it may be higher.... Here are the prices for the items.....The CPR certificate cost is based from the price of the class given at Malcolm X college....Hope this helps!!! Background Check- 97.00 Malpractice Insurance-36.00 Scrubs-140.00 CPR certificate- 50.00
  4. You also need to have your CPR certification!!!
  5. I am in Chicago too near oak park... I believe the background check is $97.00, you also have to do a drug test and a physical, get malpractice insurance, flu shot, tb test and have medical insurance. Oh and order your scrubs!!!!
  6. No I am not to far away.... It will take me about 25 minutes to get to school each day... I'm thinking I will send off for my background check this Friday. Also has anyone completed their financial aid, I was told to wait until I got my official schedule.
  7. Congratulations Smokey2112....@pbnJ no I have not completed my packet...I need to get on it cause we are only a month away.... I too still have so many questions especially about the clinicals...can't wait to see you guys there....Good luck guys!!!
  8. @pbnj....have they sent you your official class schedule yet...still waiting for mines but I know I have to take math as well.
  9. Same here....I have so many emotions going on at the same time curious, happy, nervous, its so crazy. Have you been able to speak with any other students about the program because I have yet to find any forums from student who are in the program at Northwestern.
  10. O.K. well I wish you the best of luck....since you are re-taking the exam, look at the print out that they gave you back from your previous test and look at what areas they recommended you work on, this really helped me out a lot my second time around....I focused more on what I messed up on and also was just a little more relaxed...I wish you luck and hope that you will be joining us in the program.
  11. hey ladies I had problems logging on with my old account information...but I received a 75 on the TEAS and it was sufficient for them...Good luck with everything, hope you get some good news....@disgnr girl....did you receive your packet yet and do you know if northwestern is now accredited, Thanks Ladies
