  1. Oh I know. I cant carry all those books at the same time! I have patho Mondays 12-250. What about you? And NUR 111 Tuesdays 8-1150. But I guess were supposed to meet for lab part of our NUR 112, Mondays depending on your patho schedule. So I have lab Mondays 9-11 cause Im in the afternoon patho. I thought I was going to have a nice late start Mondays, but no! I havent began reading either. I printed and read through the syllabi. But thats about it. Whats your schedule like??
  2. Thats so good to hear! I'm gettin more nervous as the first day gets closer. I'm glad I handed in all the paperwork though, one thing off the too do list. I've been looking online lately for discounted books. Cause Harper charges so much. As any school does. Have you bought yours yet?
  3. Mine are at Alexian brothers too. But on Fridays 7a-2p
  4. @jessicarose....thats awesome!! I just handed in all my paperwork to health services (physical, insurance verification, titers, etc) where/when are your clinicals for NUR 112???
  5. PBnJ..... I was accepted to NW for this fall but turned it down for another school however I can answer some of your questions. No class has graduated yet, the first class is set to graduated next year (may/june) time. Yes, the classes are taken in the sequence they have posted. Most have pre-reqs before you can move on to the next. They didn't tell me where all the clinical sites are but they did say Little Company of Mary on the South side is their main hospital site. And I believe multiple nursing homes in the Bridgeview area. hope this helps.
  6. Thanks so much for commenting about your experience! I do work, and was wondering how many hours you think are do-able each week. Also, how many hours a day or week dis you spend studying?
  7. Thanks for the info. Yeah, they must changed the clinical scheduling, because I picked my time and location.
  8. Hey all. I will begin the nursing program at Harper College in Palatine this fall. I am just looking for some advice, or insight on the program. Like what teachers are great? or some that arent? where is a good place to do specific clinincals?? or anything you can possibly think of!!! thanks
  9. Thanks for all the advice. I have decided to go with Harper. Because they are established and accredited. Also they are cheaper, the program is shorter by 3 months and the clinical sights are at great facilities. One of which I work at. So that's a plus!
  10. Hey all. I just got accepted for Fall as well. Literally today I found out. So i know nothing. When is the next orientation??? Also, does anyone know when we can register? Congrats to everyone!!! I look forward to meeting everyone!!
  11. Hi all. So, I was excepted into Northwestern College in Bridgeview in May. This is a new program, with their first class finishing their first year. It is an ADN program, and currently accredited by the state but not NLNAC. I received an acceptance letter from Harper College today. And cant seem to decide where to go. The plus with Northwestern is that its about 15 minutes closer the my home. But Harper is an established program, thats accredited. And actually finishes 3 months before Northwestern would. Harper also is cheaper. Im just torn I guess, because the Dean at Northwestern was super helpful, and really nice. I don't know, I guess I am just looking for someone to push me in one direction. LOL Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Especially from Harper and Northwestern Students!!
  12. Yes. I got over a 21 on my ACT. So maybe that's the reason I didn't need the compass. Haha. I get so damn mixed up with every school requirements and stuff.
  13. @ PBnJ......you dont have to take the compass if you are transferring in credits. I didn't have to take it because I already have college english, speech, math, chem, bio and more completed. So it really depends on your situation. I think they will even only have you take certain sections of the compass if you're transferring in some credits. I would go to an info session, because they will answer any questions you have, you explain all the steps for applying. Good Luck!! Let us all know if you get in!
  14. Yeah thats the only info I have too. Ugh...I hate white scrub pants!!! Oh well. I want to know my schedule so bad!!! haha. If you hear anything, let me know. But the way, my name is Jessica, whats yours?? Im sure we will meet soon!
  15. @isaly....Nope. The emailed I received said they would be in touch regarding the next steps. So I'm assuming you got in too! Congrats!
