Any new nursing grads thinking of moving to Los Angeles/recently relocate there?
I currently live in New York and graduated nursing school this past may/take NCLEX in August and would love to chat with anyone thinking of relocating to LA as a new nurse.
Yeah, I would just check back every now and then to make sure there are no deficiencies. They also mail you a letter if they are missing anything.Did you decide if you are going to stay at your current job?
Oh okay gotcha. No i quit my last day was supposed to be tomorrow. I'm at work now but i can't stand being here one more day. Would it look bad if i called out sick my last day. I didn't give them much notice cuz i start my new job feb 5th but idc i don't wanna go another day. What you think
No, I honestly don't think it matters at this point since you already quit. I'm glad you got a new job and I hope it all goes well.
Thanks girl! How's job hunting going for you? Do you have your Cali license already btw? Yea i called in sick. I actually really don't feel good. Crazy migraine/nausea after working 13 hours straight at a place i really don't like so I'm glad i don't have to go there anymore. Nursing is cool but i don't like med surg or hosptial nursing. I deff wanna get i it the aesthetic/dermatology/plastic surgery part of it. I think it's a lot easier to find jobs in that field of nursing out in Cali.
Yes, I got my license number around mid/late December. It took a bit longer to get then it would have because they didn't receive the first transcript my school sent them & I didn't submit my fingerprints till November. I'm starting a nursing job next week but am planning to move to LA between July-September ish.
Same-I love all things skin care/aesthetics so I would love to have a job that revolves around those things. All through nursing school my goal was to do Nurse Anesthesiology but you need years of ICU experience for that and I know I would enjoy aesthetics more so I changed my mind. Not sure what my game plan is exactly yet but I know I need to get out of New York lol.

oh okay where are you working now? That's awsome! So i just checked my application status it's saying 1.) completed "online licensure by endorsement applicant identification" form and 2.) a recent passport seize 2x2 photo. Which i sent all of that so how do i resend that?? Thanks for your help!
Omg they were impossible to get in touch with. I just used their normal number. Sometimes I would call and the machine would say they weren't taking any calls but a few times I called I was put on hold for like 20-30 min and got to speak with someone. I had the best luck between 1-4pm ...you just have to be persistent

When your license is endorsed it will have your license number on the top right of the page and the application will no longer appear under the View Application Status section on the bottom left of the page. Just check to make sure there is nothing under deficiencies which will prolong the process. If there are any deficiencies it would be listed on the bottom left of the page.
