Hi,
I'm muslim pre-nursing student and I wear the hijaab. I would love to know any Muslim nurses/student nurses that I can ask some questions regarding the hijaab, uniform, dealing with patients, and going through nursing school as a muslim.
There are a few specific questions I would love to ask.
So come out! :)
I have a question regarding muslims using the term sister. I noticed female muslim patients frequently call me sister and I feel honoured being called this, but my muslim male patients do not call me sister. I am curious is there a religious or cultural reason for a female to call me sister and not a male? Or is it just individual preference?
kindest regards

i love to be called sister as well. i think it may be individual preference based on culture (men not talking to women for whatever reasons). it's the same excuse/reason some men use not to return salaams.

are you asking how our co-workers feel about us muslimah's wearing our hijab? (my first rxn: does it matter how they feel?) or are you asking how we feel about wearing it? i feel just fine and natural and would feel naked and uncomfortable without it.
hi i was just wondering, does anyone here have a co-worker that wears the hijab (headscarf)? one of my close friends does and she hasn't had any issues. what about your co-workers? how do they feel?:)
may the peace, mercy, and blessings of allah be upon the muslimeen, muslimah here!
since i don't know any other muslimah nurses, i was wondering how some of you wear your uniforms/scrubs...
my preference is to wear a loose dress scrub thingy (lol) or baggy scrubs with a skirt and arm sleeves
