  1. =) and Eid Mubaarak to you all too
  2. seems to me that they were making their own little crusade here against this poor women. as there was no pertinent need for this women to be forced to strip down even after it was made clear to them that it went against her religious beliefs. in all honesty there is no real need for clothes to be removed for an modern x-ray machines and for older ones lite clothing without any metals are fine. and to make her remove her head scarf is down right wrong.
  3. assalamu alaikum bro mashallah its good to see another muslim male in nursing. totally know what you mean about the awkward pause after i tell people im a nurse ............... Oooh thats err nice...never worried me though. i finished my course in 2007. i know of at least two other brothers who also are nurses. well God willing you stick with it.
  4. totally agree, why should it have any bearing on how you interact at work. if anything hopefully it will be a means to break down barriers.
  5. its nice to meet other Muslim nurses from around the world i from Australia

  7. these ones marv? ..the only problem with these is that they are see through, though the first one doesnt appear to be so. but if it was a problem these could be worn over the hijaab.
  8. covering your neck? . not sure what you mean ..i'd assume you would just tuck it in your collar of your top/scrubs
  9. sorry if i wasnt clear. women are allowed to attend based upon the most correct opinion but some muslim cultures dont allow it.
  10. that is more to do with country/local custom then to do with the religion. which is why its important to find out their specific needs rather then assume care based upon what we believe their beliefs dictate
  11. kinda sad u felt the need to compromise ur religion for a job, especially in country that is suppose to look beyond that. maybe now that you know others do wearing hijaab without worry you can reconsider. i know what you mean by the 'stealth muslim' and what some people say when think your not muslim (i get mistaken for being jewish all the time).
