Any Miami Dade College students going for the acceler. or Generic option fall 2009?

I am currently at Miami Dade College fulfilling prerequisites in order to apply for the Nursing program that starts fall 2009. I'd like to be in touch with other career changers who after getting a bachelor's in a non-nursing field decided to pursue the program at Miami Dade College.

No problem, we have to look for other options or i will become a nurse ready to retired by how long this is taking, i personally think is a shame that so little people get in the program with the big need for nurses there is?

BCC doesnt have an accelerated option.

that is bad I really don't understand very much how they run the schedule I have to go to BCC to find out but maybe the genetic is a few month more any way we are waiting now for MDC, I really didn't look at accelerated option their explanation of the nursing program is a bit complicated, but any way I am interesting in genetic program, But I can denied I will love to go to MDC and finish everything in their program, The way I look at it is I am already in MDC and they have a big percentage of people that pass the certification with out any problems.

someone posted a few pages ago that the gpa cut off is at 3.5 when they called and asked, but i called and the lady just told me 3.7....lol mdc kills me!

Does anyone have any new updates?? Anyone else got a accepted or declined? I still have not heard anything and I am extremely anxious because I have such a close GPA......

I called the school this morning and asked if I had a chance with my 3.75 and the lady said yes but she didnt know as far as how many slots they had available etc... She just told me that I should expect something in the mail soon... This is nervewrecking

RMO1809 -- hang in there ... good things happen especially as your GPA is very close. Even if you dont receive any letters... its still a good sign as you're not rejected.... Ppl sometimes will not accept so you're in good position..

Mommy'sgirl, Montero and others who have done this--I have some questions on the background check issue--

1) Did you prepay online in the myappt.mymdc.net prior to scheduling ? Or did you pay directly at the campus' bursar's office and then schedule ?

2) So basically, its just a fingerprinting session right ? Once done, they will send it to School of Nursing and we dont have to wait for pick up ?

Need to know to see if I should stay overnight when I will be doing those things.

Guys I am on vacation but my family checked the mailbox and still nothing/ So I guess next week we will see what the week brings...............So I have no updates and I too applied to Part time generic
