Just wanted to touch basis with my fellow June NCLEX test takers. I know we're all nervous and studying to the point of exhaustion but we can do this!!! Whether this is your first attempt or your third attempt, we're going to pass!
I take mine June 13th at 8:00am and I plan on doing the PVT trick later that day even though I'm believing/claiming that I've already passed.
I did all the question trainers for Kaplan, and the entire Qbank, unused questions only...I did the Saunders Comprehensive Assessment and read afew of the chapters it told me I was weakest in but other than that I mainly focused on questions. For Qtrainer 7 I went through it and for the ones I got wrong I wrote down the topic and correct answers I also started to do this towards the end w/ my Qbanks....and would read them through several times
Also, I memorized all my lab values and conversions (hardly needed them but its good to know for the few questions that may come up)
Then I just wrote out meds w/ a few basics like, with/without food, no grapefruit juice, and which ones were toxic to what areas, I didnt memorize this just read it over several times hoping that the endings would stick in the event i got it in a question.
After doing this my Qbank scores started getting into the low 70s...
I had alot of prioritization on the exam but I feel like all you can do is practice....
I just took my NCLEX-RN yesterday (June 23rd). Like most people I've read about on these posts, I am certain I failed. My husband and I both graduated nursing school together, and he took and passed his NCLEX back in February. I had a hold up with my ATT, and didn't receive it until May (we graduated in Dec. 2010)! Needless to say, taking the test 6 months after graduating school was EXTREMELY intimidating. I went in fairly confident and walked out convinced I failed. In FL our results are usually viewable online within 48 hours.. still nothing yet, but I am praying they will post tomorrow. Even if I am right about failing, I just want to know so I can get the ball rolling on taking it again. I know this sounds very negative, and I am typically a very positive person.. but I just feel so certain about the fact that I failed.
P.S. My test shut off at 75 questions.
Good Luck to all you other June test takers!! :)
