Any June NCLEX Test Takers Out There?

Published

Just wanted to touch basis with my fellow June NCLEX test takers. I know we're all nervous and studying to the point of exhaustion but we can do this!!! Whether this is your first attempt or your third attempt, we're going to pass!

I take mine June 13th at 8:00am and I plan on doing the PVT trick later that day even though I'm believing/claiming that I've already passed.

Anyone take the nclex rn the 24th in cali and get results? I got the good pop up, but still haven't seen anything on BRN. It's giving me an ulcer! Also, i tried looking up several people on the BRN that are nurses and the older nurses I know (that have been nurses >10 years) are popping up, but the newer nurses (that graduated the past two years) are not. Am I checking in the wrong spot? I've been looking under "permanant license verification". Thanks:):thankya:

You will......don't get to overwhelmed......best of luck....

Is anyone else having to wait for their results in CA? It's been almost two weeks (feels like months), I get the positive PVT but, I'm still waiting. I e-mailed the BRN yesterday to ask if I had anything pending and I'm still waiting on a response. I have a job lined up to start in less than two weeks and I don't know if I should tell my current employer yet. What do I do?

Good luck to all taking the test today and in the month of July.

Can we compile a list or does some one already have a list of drugs that should be taken with a meal and those without a meal.

bromocriptine, Indomethacin and Tagemet are are taken WITH MEALS

does anyone have some more?

Let's do this!!

hey guys..just took mine last june 30..& yes i felt again the obvious feeling that i failed but i always thinking positively that all of us will pass..i had couple of SATA's, and i would say that 10 or 15 out of 75, i got mostly meds and calculations (also there was prioritization & delegation)..i was bummed in the middle of the exam because my questions gone from easy to hard & vice versa..i don't know if i did well or that's just what god gave me those kind of questions..i HOPE that my 2nd take was my last...

am sure you made it. did u try the trick?

Okay, after 2 full weeks and a call to the CA brn I finally got my RN license. :yeah: I'm happy but, it was sort of non-climatic because I was so up and down from all the waiting.

I called the brn on Friday, July 1st and spoke to a lady. She said they were waitng on my transcripts to be "keyed" in. She told me that I could not re-register with pearsonvue because I "would not have to take the test again, therefore it will not let me register". So yes the pearsonvue test does work (and I was beginning to doubt it). And when I checked for my name on the brn the next day, there it was . I guess they found my transcripts. So my suggestion for anyone who had to wait more than a week for the results, call the brn and make sure you don't have anything pending. And yes do the pearsonvue test to help subside your anxiety because it does work.

:nurse: I am a RN!!!! :nurse:

asteroidcat, this was an excellent post:

"for all those who will be taking the nclex soon, you have to remember this: the nclex is a test that checks if you're safe to practice nursing. this is the thought that i have always instilled in my mind and gave me motivation to review. it is not a test that we "simply need to get over with". reflect on yourself: do you think you're ready to be a nurse? do you know what to do if a patient's potassium dips down into a 2.0? how would you even know if a patient's potassium is this low even without looking at the lab results? this client who will be taking parnate loves pepperoni pizza. do you need to do anything about it?"

when i was studying, both in nursing school and for the nclex, and sometimes felt overwhelmed, i would think of my future patients, who were counting on me to know about these things. it kind of puts it all in perspective and reminds us again of why we are really taking this test and what our ultimate goal is. thanks for sharing your thoughts!
