Hi Carluke, I am right in thinking you have a UK passport and a canadian RN licsence aren't I.
Not heard of this company, it may be worth emailing them and asking if their assignments are in hospitals or nursing home, your a hospital nurse if I remember rightly aren't you.
There are quite a few jobs advertised, not quite sure where in Scotland your thinking off. Have you been through the NMC yet?
Hi Carluke
Not heard of them myself so no advice there. Just do your homework and thoroughly look into them.
I would also continue to look for jobs yourself and maybe write/email some HR departments. This link is for NHS Lanarkshire Jobs. It is updated monthly. The main hospitals you would be looking at are Hairmyers, Monklands and Wishaw.

Good luck and Happy New Year
HI! Yes I have my UK passport and Canadian RN (i've asked a few questions on here!). Haven't gone through the NMC yet, I need to do my english test first. Where did you see the jobs advertised, through the NHS? I would prefer to work in Lanarkshire or Edinburgh.
Thanks for your information and reply!
Hi! I am an American Nurse, also interested in this travel coimpany... I have a French passport, which I guess makes me an EU national, not sure what kind of paper work I will have to do.... Is it true that it will only take 20 days to become a registered nurse in the UK?
Thanks!

It takes much longer than 20 days to register with the NMC. You will need to meet overseas requirements and more than likely do a 20 day ONP and they have to be done at accredited establishments. All information can be found here. Having a French passport will male things easier for you as you will not need a work permit

Oh thank you! I should have been more specific, I know that the process as a whole takes much longer (at least 6 months), but I am wondering how long I would be in the UK without work due to meeting the requirements. I know that much of the application process can be done from home, however, once I am in the UK could I expect to be there about one month before having completed my ONP and be eligible for hire?
You will not get your PIN until you have completed the ONP and will more than likely find it hard to get work as RN. Getting PIN can take time, never known NMC to be quick. I would work on 1-2 months ensuring you have sufficient funds and if it comes through quicker that will be a bonus. Also remember in the UK pay tends to be monthly so will need sufficient funds to tide you over also

I've been looking into working in Scotland and came across this website...Continental Travel Nurse. I am wondering if anyone has heard anything about this organization? Good? Bad? After reading their site, they seem decent but it's hard to tell. If anyone has anything to add about this travel nurse organization or any other organization for that matter - would you mind giving your input?!
Thank you so much! I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and will have a safe and Happy New Year!!
