I'm in my second class and so far have been challenged. The paper writing is mind boggling. Can anyone tell me what to expect for stats? Are there many tests? A final? I'm worried about taking this class and will be happy to have it done!

I will let you know, for sure!! Can't say I'm looking forward to it, but I'm looking forward to being done!

Sigh.. I'm jealous, lol.

OH Tokmom Health Assessment is VERY paperwork heavy. I remember spending a LOT of time especially weeks 3 and 5. Hang in there. You are almost through. There is no group assignment in stats, thank goodness. lovinlife is right, the textbook for stats is some free stats online textbook and it didn't help any for me. I also googled often and that helped! I had a lady for a professor she was a phd she was HILARIOUS, really engaging and helpful. But I find it odd that these instructors don't do their own lectures on the material for the week then post them. I just kept telling myself "it's just 5 weeks....".

I liked doing the power point in HA on the movie, we did well and got an A :)

I am guilty of not doing all of the reading...to say the least....

Is this the class with the heaviest paper writing?

For me yes it was. Again I only took patho, health asmt, professional dynamics, and stats then on to MSN portion in a couple weeks :)

In my last class right now mom. Oh boy, it's a lot of work. How are you holding up mom?

Hey Charlotte and lovin..

I'm doing ok! I got a A because I work like a dog, lol. The Health Assessment class was awful! I just finished it this last week. Now I'm in community health. The community health doesn't seem paper writing crazy with big assignments due every freaking week. I'm glad you both are plugging right along.

Good to know about the stats class and no CLC..yay! I just want that class over with more than you can know. Then research. After that I hope to be on the downhill...

Lovin..Are you doing the capstone? What is it like? Is there anything I can start reading and filing away for future reference? I have to admit that project scares me too!

You guys are a wealth of info and help ease my fears. THANK YOU!

Capstone.... There is no preparation. 15 sources at the minimum. Somedays I feel like it will end up being 100 pages. No other classes really stressed me out, this class stresses me. Keep it in the back of ur mind, it's doable but a LOT of work. Glad you are surviving!! :)

Ugh.. I lost my original post.

Lovin..is there a word minimum? Do you have to use a topic that GCU chooses or one of your own? Is this the only assignment during those 5 weeks?

Now I'm nervous! Ugh.. I need to get through stats, research and the capstone, then I will be FREE!

Hi, Looking into applying. Do you all recommend this school? Any regrets?

I recommend it. So far it has been challenging. The downside it's busy. Everyone has been up front with expectations and they seem to be fair.

I did a lot of research and even talked to the national education guy for my company. He even talked to them and made me feel better. I had a lot hesitation because of all the previous things I read. So far, none of have come to fruition. I went in with my eyes open that they had a past. The past was them going online from brick and mortar and from a small school to something larger. They have been open with questions I grilled them with, lol

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. I pretty sure I'm going to do it!
