  1. Follow your dreams.... He examined you for five minutes and made that assumption. Leave the opinions to your primary doc... Or even a specialist. Hope you have a speedy recovery!
  2. When you pray the two cars in front of you don't get into an accident because you're too tired to stop and play Good Samaritan.
  3. Took the same course as you, except I work per diem for hospice. There is such a difference in feel from cardiac nursing to hospice, love it! Good luck with your new career choice!
  4. Can't agree more, higher education should never be looked down upon.
  5. Lol!! Love it!
  6. Hi pandora!! The book in stats was not helpful... At all... In my opinion. I survived that class by using google, a lot of times you could get more help that way. I can't remember who taught the class but he was pretty good about helping, I think he knew the book sucked. The class wasn't that bad, no need to stress over it!! Thanks for the congrats! Super excited to be done! Good luck to you pandora, let me know if you have other questions!
  7. Hi tokmom!! I figured out how to clear my inbox and I'm ready to go!! Lol!! I'm officially lovinlife11 RN, BSN, woot toot! So excited!! I can't tell you about the last class yet. Just get through these next classes and then i will tell you about it. :) As far as stats, I never found you tube videos but I did find you could google some of the questions for extra guidance! Good luck everyone!!
  8. I feel your pain, applied for the fnp program and they don't even start looking at applications until July. Tortuous wait. I keep my mind active with work and hobbies, almost to the point I'm creating hobbies... Lol. Good luck to you!
  9. Do u have continuous care available? Maybe someone to find out what works for him and educate the wife a bit? I like the idea of subcutaneous pca for pain too, maybe better absorption for him, it's too bad the wife is not on board. Let us know how it works out!
  10. Take the icu job if it is offered, put all your effort into that because it will be a learning curve. Good luck!
  11. Awesome work! Glad you were able to finally get the patients the care they deserve!
  12. I'm confused, if the patient contracted mrsa in the facility, why is the patient getting billed? I thought the facility absorbed the expense, after all it's not the patients fault.
  13. I admire your desire to better your life. You truly are an inspiration. Best of luck in your endeavors and I have no doubt good things are coming your way!
  14. Show your kiddos what you're made of and how to overcome adversity! This is your time to shine, I'm confident you can do it. It's not an easy road to travel but the rewards are well worth it. Best of luck to you, don't lose sight of your dreams!
