Stopped off at my parents tonight for dinner and stayed and watched The Halfway House, a 1944 movie. Oh my, was it good! Absolutely brilliant!

I watched this quirky but likeable movie on Netflix this rainy afternoon.
Safety Not Guaranteed
Yes @Curious1997 I'm a big fan of the Handmaid series. Have you read Atwood's books?

Just the Handmaid's Tale, her first book. I absolutely love the series. It's so well paced. Just finished the fourth series I think. I think Moss is going 'Gangsta' the next series!

The Testament is worth a read.
I wonder what accountability will look like for her...or if there will be only revenge.

I'm hoping just revenge because she's wrecked her relationship with her husband and probably friends as well. I think she'll be staying with Nick.
My dad was watching Youtube last night, the Great Etta James at Montreux. The whole concert is on Youtube.
Indescribable re just how amazing that woman is! Just amazing!
I just love spending time with my parents alone! Makes me feel safe. Being ordered around to make the popcorn, fetch the drinks and the looks they sneak at me. I might be a middle child but I have always felt loved enough except for my sisters who my Dad dotes on.
To the great Etta James, may she RIP!
Etta is one of my favorite vocalists.

I like watching classic Westerns and other classic movies. I get them on channel INSP. I watched Western movies and TV shows (Roy Rogers and Dale Evans were my favorite cowboy and cowgirl)from the first time I we had a TV when I was a kid. I even have a statue of Trigger, and a Palomino is still my favorite type of saddle horse. I also liked to watch Greys Anatomy, when Meredith's show hubby Derrick was on the show. Since I was also an EMT for 18 years, I watch 911, Chicago 911, and Chicago Fire because my EMS membership was with our local Fire company. I believe it's in my blood.
