I was just interested to see how many Georgia Nursing Students we have visiting this site. I'm 27 years old and will be in my first semester of nursing school at Gordon College in Barnesville. Class starts next week and I can't wait!! I've never been so excited and nervous before in my life. How about you?

Well, I haven't officially been accepted, still working on pre-reqs, but I hope to be a Student Nurse this time next year. I live north of Atlanta. Nice to meet you!

I start Aug. 23 at Georgia Perimeter College. I know what you mean about being nervous. We've all done well up to this time or we wouldn't have gotten accepted, but I think we may find out this is a whole different ballgame. I had orientation last week and we already have an assignment to read the first three chapters of the Fundementals book and a long list of terms to define. So I guess my three-week summer vacation is over. We'll do fine. From what I hear, never get behind and you'll be OK. Good luck and keep in touch! Mary

I already have a bachelors degree from Georgia State. I will be taking prereqs at 2 schools this semester to fit around my work schedule. I will be taking classes at GPC an Clayton State. I attended GPC then GSU to get my original bachelors degree. I'm very excited baout getting started. I only need 7 classes for GSU accerated which is where I hope to get into. I will be taking these 7 classes over 3 semesters starting this fall with hopes of quitting my job and enrolling full time next fall. I'm married and have a 2 yr old son. My choices are GSU, Clayton State, Kennesaw State, Gordon College (ADN), GPC (ADN), Ga Baptist, West Georgia, Emory. I don't mind driving a little if thats what it takes. I live right near the center of Atlanta so none of the above are too far of a drive. I'm very excited about being back in school just to take the prereqs.

Hi I'm enrolled at GPC Lawrenceville in the Nursing Learning Community. I will be taking A&P 1 this Fall and I am really excited. I know that it will be a lot of work but I'm ready to get started.

I am going to GPC too!! You going to Lawrenceville or Clarkston! GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

I'm taking A & P I at Lawrenceville this semester. I'm in the Mon Wed Fri morning class. I might take the lab portion in Clarkston to fit around my busy work schedule. I will have to take my lab on Weds at one of the GPC campus to fit around work. Weds and Sunday are my 2 days off and I will be taking Tues and Thurs night classes. I want to take Human Growth or Stats on for my night class. I look forward to getting started.

I'll be at Clarkston. It's an easier drive than to the Lawrenceville campus. That really sounds rediculous, knowing the Atlanta traffic, but I'm sure you can relate. Have you read any of your assignment yet, or taken a look at that word list? Most of it will take you back to A&P I, body parts and areas anyway. Well, good luck and have fun, that's part of it, right? Mary

I am going to L'ville campus and they did not even tell us to start reading!!! I have been looking over the books and did finish the word list that they gave us the other night.

I know what you mean about the drive! I wanted to go to Clarkston because I live right off of 78....but they sent me the letter saying that there was "no more spaces" at Clarskston and I would have a space at L'ville.....but to be honest with you....after sitting in that autitorium at Clarkston the whole day Thursday.....the seats at L'ville are MUCH more comfortable!!!:)

Hey there. I see you have your bachelors as well. I am trying to go back to finish up my nursing and only have the clinicals left. Do you know much about Georgia States accellerated program. The first time around I went to GA baptist but didnt' finish becuase of personal reasons but finished with my managmetn degree at mercer. I would love to go to baptist but too expensive and having a degree already is limiting to getting any financial help. Are you having to get fed aid and where are you getting it if you dont mind me asking?

I will be getting Federal Loans and private loans. I have already been approved for a little over 7000 for these next 2 semesters but elected to pay out of pocket because I will be going to GPC and its pretty cheap. GPC wouldn't allow me to use student loans there because I already have over 60 hours. I also have about 5000-8000 in military education money coming to me when I want to use it. I will also be taking out a private loan from Bank One, Citibank, or Wells Fargo. I'm not sure which exact one I will use. I will use whoever gives me the best rate and paymetn terms.
