:uhoh21: Hello everyone! I have always wanted to be a nurse and everytime I was going to make an attempt... something come up. Well, this time is it. I told myself..it's now or never! I am originally from Germany and never went to school in the US. I have submitted and application to my local College ( haven't heard anything, yet), but I don't know how or where to take the AST or COMPASS. I also need some info on how to get a study guide for the NET and which ones are any good. Any kind of help would be very appreciated, maybe there is someone out there that is also from another country???? HELP....PLEASE.:) :)

I am not a nursing student yet, but have earned an Associates Degree over the years. I am currently taking prerequisite courses at my local Community College. I eventually want to enter a BSN program. I started out with a GED, because I wasn't given any credits for any school work I did in Germany. I would advise you to talk to a degree counselor as soon as possible in person at your college since it may take a while to receive a written response to your application letter. That way you can prepare yourself before registering for your classes.
I was born in Northern Germany and have been in the US on and off for more than 20 years. We are currently in Texas.
Keep in touch.

Hi
The collage which you applied at will mail you the letter saying come and take compass or what ever their entrance exam is. They should offer that at the collage. They may ask for Toefel as well, they may not offer that one but most Universities do. Once you get your letter, find out where to take what test. There may be an international advisor at your school. He or she will help you with many questions that you might have.
