Are any of you starting to get anxious about the forthcoming decisions? We have another month or so yet to know, but I still want to know NOW! :innerconf ... Wanna share in the waiting process? Have you heard anything about the # of people they are accepting? Anything?
Hey all!I too received an acceptance packet in the mail. I, for one, was shocked to have gotten in! I applied to so many other schools(out of state) and always thought CA was ultra-competitive. I've already put a deposit down at Johns Hopkins, so I probably won't be attending UCLA(although I always kinda wondered what who have happened if I had made the decision to get my undergrad there!- i chose UCSD instead). So that means one more spot will open on the waitlist for you wait-listers :wink2: Good luck to you.
Congrats on your UCLA acceptance RedHead, but I'm still glad you're (probably?) going to choose Hopkins!
Asherah and RedHead- I would definitely go to JHU if I had the opportunity to go. Great, great school and hospital! I sort of need to stay local otherwise I would go back east for sure to get my training. This will look fantastic on your CV and what a wonderful opportuinty. Good luck to both of you!

I heard the last batch of letters went out yesterday- so that is it. Knowing UCLA campus mail, sometimes there can be a delay getting to the USPS. But everyone should hear one way or the other by the weekend. The Dean's sad passing did in fact have an impact on the timeline for this cycle of application notifications.
I am not sure if there was any scheme as to who was notifed when- they may have just gone out in waves with acceptances mixed in with waitlist with rejections.
congrats to everyone who got their letters and hang in there to those who haven't!i just found out that i also got into ucsf. i wasn't expecting to get into either school so i have no idea what i'm going to do. i may open up another spot for ucla, we'll see.
congratulations on ucsf!!
just want to contribute to the distraction method discussion... last night was spent doing load after load of laundry. it was the perfect way to stay busy since it's been impossible to get any reading done all week.
Hi Everyone,
I just got home and nothing. I can immediately tell when I put my key into the mailbox lock how full it is. All I heard was a hollow rattle. That does it for me. I am going to go to work tomorrow and won't worry about what will be waiting in my mailbox. Everyone who received notices yesterday and today received acceptance packages. No one received a rejection letter. What does that tell you? They can't admit all 360 applicants. Someone has to get rejected. As far as those people who live outside of the LA area it takes at least two to three days to get mail. I can't try to remain positive anymore. I'm about ready to cry.
