Hello, I'am a new student and need some of your advice. For this Fall I'm taking Biol 223 and 251 and Soc 101 (online). For Spring, I'am planning to take Biol224, Psy101, Com101 and Eng 101. Do you think I will be able to handle all of these 4 classes? I'm kinda nervous that I wouldnt. If I add more classes for fall, I think It will be hard for me to focus on my Biol223. How difficult are these classes. I took Biol189 summer of this year and got an A. I'am trying to get into the nursing program Spring of 2013 that is why I'am doing full loads. In summer next year planning to take Math100 and PSC101 so I can pass my application Fall next year. Am I matching the classes right? or Am I making it difficult? Please help!

The only class I would add is Eng 102 to your sum 12 schedule. Also make sure you register for classes the moment you are able because i got held back a semester because i couldn't get Biol 189 until spr 10...
Your plan is very doable. Good luck

I personally would not, and have not, taken two science classes in the same semester. However, I work full time. I know many students that do both A&P and Micro and do just fine. So it's really up to how you personally do as a student and how quickly you are able to learn. A&P is a very hard subject and requires plenty of study time. One other thing to think about is this: Biol 223 is used to calculate your GPA for the nursing program, where as Biol 224 is not. You may want to think about taking Biol 224 and Micro together instead of Biol 223 and Micro. That way you can concentrate on getting the best grade possible for Biol 223. Most people I have taken these classes with have take Biol 224 and Micro together.
Also, make sure you choose your instructor wisely. There are some who are "black listed" so to speak. I would check them out on ratemyprofessor.com before registering for their class. Good Luck, you are in for a long ride. :)

Are you only going to school? The schedule is doable if you are willing to devote a lot of time to studying. I did 224 and 251 together and got a B and A respectively. I know plenty of people who took 223 and 251 together and got A's in both classes. It all depends on you. Good luck!
I got the opposite ^^^ I got an A- in 224 and a B+ in 251. but they brought up a good point although having taken 224 prior to application gets you 10 pts the 223 class goes into your prereq GPA so it is wise to replace 251 with Eng 101...also 224 and 251 mesh well because they both cover difficult topics like immunity at the same time. Good luck!
also I would recommend taking both 223 and 224 lab and lecture with Ms. B a brazillian teacher that is very approachable and willing to stop and explain or meet with you and review.

Hi rr1228,
Where ya taking your classes at? I am also taking 223 and 251 along with Span 111 this coming Monday.
Also for Micro there is a neat little study group on facebook.... search Microbio Buddies Fall 2011 to request to join.
For Psy 101 try to take that online it is easy peasy :)
