Hey fellow nurses,
Me and a couple of my friends want to take a critical care course and I was wondering if any of you know any around southern california. I know they are pretty pricy, but if you know of any that have a good price and teach well, please let me know! I would greatly appreciate it :)

Where do you consider Southern California to be?
Are you looking for CCRN courses or Acute ER stuff?
San Diego? L.A.?, San Fran Bay area? Or maybe you're okay to travel?
Sharp, Scrips, and UCSD frequently sponsored TNCC, ENPC in San Diego.
Loma Linda sponsored quite a variety of courses while in Riverside.
In San Fran they are ALL over the bay with Sutter & Kaiser leading the way.
...you just need to look around.

Most hospitals offer it to their new grad employees or employees that are transitioning departments...so classes may be more limited than they used to be. Your best bet would be to call the hospitals clinical education departments. I know one to not recommend: St. Bernardines in San Bernardino.. she spends more time talking about herself than all the things you need to know.
Hoag has one but don't know if its open to the general public. They have some great teachers though.

JO, did you find a course to take? My google skills seem to be failing me.
Thanks,
