Any College of Dupage nursing students out there? Or hopefuls?

At what point are we supposed to fill out FAFSA? I do not want to jump the gun and apply for financial aid if I am not accepted into the program, but I do not want to wait and have it be too late to apply for financial aid.

Td, the sooner you apply for financial aid the better. Keep in mind also, that you do not have to accept the aid package they send you. There is no penalty for not taking their offer. Also, you can ask for less than the amount they award.

I also completed the FAFSA a while back and already filed my income tax return (hopefully getting $ back & nursing school acceptance letter this week!)

I know I am only eligible for federal loans but I'll definitely take those over no aid at all.

I hear the mail truck driving down the street and think, is today the day? Well, it's NOT today! :lol2:

Borders is going out of business. I bought pharmacology flash cards, drug book and Tabers Medical Dictionary tonight for CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! They also have several study aides for NCLEX.

What is the title of the drug book? I haven't really started looking into which books we'll need since I honestly am clueless re: books.

I bought Pearson Nurse's Drug Guide 2011. I am taking the chance of buying books early and then the teacher recommends or requires you to have a different one or I don't even get into the program this year. I got a good deal on them because bookstore is going out of business. I don't think it will hurt to have extra references. You can also get app's on your phone.

I hope this is the week we all receive the news we have been waiting for. I am so nervous my stomach feels sick. I do not want to have to wait an entire year to reapply.

I think at the earliest letters will be mailed on Friday, according to Vicky Gukenberger's post. To make it worse, my mail does not come until 3 or 4ish. Everytime I hear the mail truck my heart drops into my chest and it feels like a loooong walk to the mailbox. LOL

I don't think I can take much more of this. Last year the deadline was the first and they had letters in hand by the 12 so it can a little longer or in the next few days.

To be kinda honest it's killing my excitement. I just want to know already so that I can prepare.

Anyone try to access the fall schedule? I couldn't get results and they said we were able to view them on the cod website.

RS, the summer schedule is online. The website says "apply for summer and fall", but underneath that it says summer schedule is online.
