Just wondering if there were any students starting AACC's RN program in the fall? I am and was thinking this might be a cool place to communicate.

Hey! I am going to be in your class on Monday! I am so excited/super nervous! Which section are you? 001 or 002?

If you look back a page in the posts in Maryland forum, I asked a bunch of questions regarding AACC's RN program that people in the program or former students answered for me. It might be worth a look.

I am in 002 and taking the hybrid 121 and 122 course. I'm really excited about getting started AND kinda nervous. Thanks for posting back.

Do you know anyone else that is going to be in the program? I know one other girl that I had micro and my bios with that is starting with us as well.

I am in 002 as well but opted not to do the hybrid class this semester just because I figured if I was already going to be driving out to campus for labs and 120, I might as well stay for 121 and 122!!

I know (not very well) a couple of people that were in my prereq classes as well.

I know how you feel, I am excited and nervous and anxious and happy all at once. I know that once it starts we won't catch our breath until December 11! We've done a lot of work to get to this point and now we can finally enjoy learning about nursing!

Best of luck to you all! I think it's cool that they are offering 121/122 hybrid. I loved Prof Fox who taught 122, so attending her class was a joy. The hybrid format will be interesting. You may decide to attend lectures, if you can. The professors were very good and did a thorough job, and in addition they did a great job of making certain we understood what types of questions would be on the test. I'm not sure how one would get that type of information in a taped format or online format.

Either way, I'm sure you'll love it!

I hope the hybrid format works well. I've taken a few online classes and really enjoyed them. I hoping the flexibility of the class will work better for my schedule since I have 2 small children. Who knows...I might end up kicking myself in the tail wishing that I wouldn't have taken it. Hopefully not!!

Am I a complete nerd for being excited that school starts on Monday???:clown:

No way! You're not a nerd! I start Tuesday in OB and can't wait. The energy will serve you well. Take advantage of it and do the best you can early on. Much better to stack the cards in your favor from the gate, than be the person trying to pull your grades up at the end :)

Good luck with OB! I'm guessing that will be quite a stressful rotation. Laboring women can be crazy. Well...I was any way :p

Hope you enjoy it! I can't wait for that clinical either. Actually, I just can't wait for ANY clinical at this point!:yeah:

Pretty good. What did you think? Not too bad today. We'll have to see how tomorrow goes since we'll actually have classes.

The professors seem to be pretty cool. Hopefully they want us to succeed as much as they say they do!

I agree. I didn't think it was too bad and all the professors seem very dedicated and seem to love nursing, which is great considering it is their JOB! ;)
