I applied and wanted to see if I actually have any chance. I had applied for spring 2012 but didnt notice that I had to take statistics which I am now in progress. But everything seems good. I just want to hear and compare my application. My TEAS score was 83.5 and my prereqs science is Micro B, Physio B, Anatomy C, Chemistry Organic/Biochemistry A, Intro to Chem B. My other prereq: English, Critical Thinking, Speech are all A's. So what happens to my statistics do they make it into a C or B for now or how will my points be for having one in progress. I have over 100 hours of volunteering and speak Spanish. The sucky part is that i dont attend STAN STATE or live in the area.
I had worked in a clinic as an Medical Assistant for one seasonal term.
Do i have a chance? please advise.
Mgp6 - Hi, I have some questions for you! I just got accepted to Delta's RN program but I am waiting to here back from Stanislaus before I decide.. What was your weekly schedule like, especially in the first semester? How many days a week were you in class and clinicals? I will be living in Stockton, so the commute is a factor. Also, I calculated that I had 82 points would you say that is fairly competitive?
Thanks!

I have to say that first semester was one of the busiest semesters since there is skills lab. We had 1-2 days of lectures, i believe. and you're required to come in and spend hours in skills lab to practice for the skills tests so that's another day of being in school. Clinicals don't begin until 2nd semester.
Hmm.. about the points, it mostly depends on the group you're competing against. I had 100+ points and only found out when we had advising at the end of first semester when they showed us our nursing records. Just make sure to get the extra points for volunteering/work, being a stan state student, and being bilingual. And of course, it helps to have good GPA and TEAS score..
when will stanislaus sent out acceptance/nonacceptance letters? Can you guys help me calculate my statistics? I know I don't stand a chance at being accepted, but I want to know if i might have a small hope. I small the chart of how to calculate it, but still confused. My GPA is 3.48, teas, 74 (can you still turn in the teas if you took it the second time, but couldnt send it in because the applicant period was over?), biligual, no pior job/volunteer experiences, live in san jose. Thank you.
Good luck to all of you! I'm a 6th semester nursing student at CSU Stanislaus and graduating this May. Nursing school was challenging but I loved it! Can't wait to be a nurse soon. :) Let me know if you guys get in or if you have any more questions.
I know every semester is different but does being alternate #9 give me a good chance @ getting in?
@Nurse2b209 i think you have a pretty good chance of getting in cause some people drop out and they sometimes reach up to #20+ alternate. good luck!
