Any Applicants to Frontier Nursing University FNP Class 124?

Hi! I've read and re-read all of the threads here regarding previous applicants to FNU, and now it's my turn to wait! I am a fairly recent BSN grad with about 6 months of peds experience under my belt, and applied to the FNU March 3rd FB cohort. I have a ton of community experience, and co-created a mental health arts intervention program in my city, so I'm hoping my extracurricular experience is enough to bypass the 1 year of required experience. Anyone else anxiously awaiting news?!? Let's chat, because otherwise I'll be tempted to stalk my email another 100 times today, lol. :)

I mean from 125 to 124.

Aww girl, that sucks!! Is there anything at all they can do, or are you just stuck waiting? On the same hand, there could have been much worse news... Unfortunately with the newfound hope there comes more waiting.

They never changed my application from class 124 to 125! Ugh so frustrating!

One week to Frontier Bound and I just got my acceptance! Kind of in shock right now, but super happy!!

Congrats! Let me know how it goes. Nothing like last minute.

Thanks, I definitely will! fortunately I only have a 4 hour drive to Frontier, so not too much of a hardship! Have you heard anything more about 125?

Congrats WillowSong!!! I know it's last minute, but still amazing nonetheless.

I'm on the waitlist for 125.

My fingers are crossed for you! I was #7 on the waitlist and got it, and while at Frontier Bound I met several who were admitted off the wait list just a few days before FB. Keep us posted and stay positive!!

I'm on the waitlist for 125.

Hi everyone! I am looking for a little advice. I am finishing up a second degree MSN RN at the College of Mt. St. Joes in Cincinnati, Ohio. I also have always wanted to be a FNP and was wondering how early you think it would be okay to apply after graduating? I have been a PCA at Cinci Children's, Madonna Manor, and volunteered consistently with a clinic for the uninsured. I plan on taking the NCLEX this September. Do you think if I have only 4 months of RN experience they would even look at me or should I wait a couple more months, or the full year? Or any other advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks, Sarah

Hi Sarah! I was recently accepted to FNU off of the wait list and I have 7 months of nursing experience. From all that I read it seems as if they want at least a year, but they do make exceptions. I think you have a good chance- just write a great entrance letter and secure strong references. Maybe wait til you have 6 months of experience? Best of luck!
