Just curious...I am finishing up my pre-reqs, and am really hoping to enter the ADN program in the spring. I hear the AC program is harder than the WT program, although I know they are two different degrees. Is this true? I would really like to hear from someone who is in the program now, or who has been in recently. I understand that there is now an entrance exam, but it is a recent addition. Way to put the pressure on us, huh? Anyway, it would be nice to meet people in my position, or to get advice from someone who's been there, done that. Thanks!

Unfortunately, there's not many people from Amarillo who frequent this forum. Most of the people who post here are either from DFW, Houston, Austin, or SA.

I'm a level III nursing student at AC right now. I get to graduate in December of 09.
Hey! Finally! I am starting the ADN program this spring. That's cool you're so close to graduating. Any advice for me?

I am planning to move to Amarillo to get into the Nursing Program in the Spring, however, I am still NOT understanding as to why they would not take my intro to A & P 1 and 2, but did my intro to micro. The A and P is the same class as I took before and now I am taking it online, which I HATE online classes, especially it is mentally hard to take classes over that I have already passed! Also, I have 4 children who are 9,5,5 and 4, a single parent and no family in Amarillo. I was in the nursing program in NM and I am wondering if there has been any parents who are or have went through the program just like I want to do without any family help, got through, and if their program requirements on any days missed if a child was to be ill. I am trying to NOT throw myself over the cliff by getting to high into a mountain of hell for nothing. PLEASE, respond back. THANK YOU!!!
