I am taking my Nclex Wednesday... June 6th.
I feel like the more close I get ... The more I forget , and the worse I do on my reviews.
I am extremely anxious, my chest is hurting, my pulse is racing...and I cant sleep.
I am nervous that when i approach the test, my anxiety will get the best of me. A friend suggested to reschedule, but i feel like I know my content...so that wouldnt help my anxiety--- Just prolong it.
I need some advice from others who experienced this..and how to cope with it when it hits me test day.
Thanks guys!

I think if you know the content and are ready to take the exam, then dont postpone it. You are right, you will just postpone the anxiety to go on longer. Bring with you water, snacks, other drinks and take breaks whenever you need while taking the test. I had all 265 questions and was there for 5 hours. I took 4 breaks to stretch and eat/drink or whatever. You can take a break whenever you need.
Good luck and I hope the best for you!

Just wanted to let you know that your not alone. I too am scheduled to take the test Wednesday and I am just like you. I have thought to myself all day maybe I should reschedule but I too believe that will just prolong the anxiety. The more questions I do the more I seem to get wrong, I decided to take a break and get on here to try to relieve some of my anxiety. My prayers are with you. We know that we got through nursing school we can get through this. GOOD LUCK

Hi, I am new to this site and am going into block 3 in the fall, but I have heard many people say that the day before the exam; which would be tuesday, don't do anything. Don't study at all, go to the gym, clean the house, get a massage and a good night sleep. You know everything that you need to know and studying more is just going to freak you out.
Good luck and best wishes. I will be in your shoes very shortly.
Give yourself a pat on the back, I know that you have worked very hard. :balloons:

If you say you're prepared then you're ready. I say this because you passed a nursing course. You know yourself by now.
It's impossible not to worry because everything up to now has been about this. Let's be real. It's okay to be stressed. You're not alone.
So let's all resite the NCLEX pledge:
NCLEX is not like anything I've studied.
Preparation puts my odds of passing higher, that's all.
I will cry before, during or after if I feel like it.
I will take breaks
It will only be me and the test.
I passed nursing, I can pass this.
I passed nursing, I can pass this
Good luck

I know just how you are feeling...I had scheduled my NCLEX for today...I was so nervous that I rescheduled it...however I went sooner rather than later...so I took it last friday..only 2 days after getting my ATT. Since you obviously cannot do that...I agree...today is not the day to study...relax..go to the park...get a manicure...go to a movie. You know the content...you have prepared for this test...you will pass..have a positive outlook!! Good Luck tomorrow!

a classmate of mine told me this, "think of it this way...you have 6 hours to do 75 questions..." take your time, use the white board provided to help you restate the stem of the question. BREATHE & take your breaks...GOOD LUCK!!!

Well, this is the night before your exam, and at this point, you will either be taking it tomorrow, or you have rescheduled. I do think that if you studied and did all that you can do, it is best to take it now. If you rescheduled, try not to wait too much longer. I felt that way, too, few days before, but, I also knew that I did ALL that I could do, physically, spiritually and emotionally. It was time to discharge all of that emotion and energy and sit for the test. Thank goodness, I passed the first time, but, if I didn't, I would have at least experienced the exam, and expected the unexpected. Keep in mind that most people do pass the first time. I wish you luck and you are in my prayers.
