  1. i was offered a salary that would equal 28/hr, but i am trying to factor in overtime, on-call, no benefits,etc..to negotiate to 32/hr. do you think this is inappropriate? this is for a 32 hr/week position + weekends. thanks for all the replies!!

  3. a classmate of mine told me this, "think of it this way...you have 6 hours to do 75 questions..." take your time, use the white board provided to help you restate the stem of the question. BREATHE & take your breaks...GOOD LUCK!!!
  4. For me, the first time I took the exam, I'm going to have to say that I failed due to major test anxiety and not picking out the stem of the question before picking the answer.
  5. RNtobe- i believe the 15 trial Q's are scattered throughout...WAY TO GO!! keep us posted
  6. earliest for results from california bon if exam taken today will be on tuesday..they do not refresh on the weekend..
  7. it helped me to use my whiteboard..rephrasing the question so u have only the stem written and not all the distractors..even some doodling! GOOD LUCK tomorrow..!
  8. RN2b-- I also failed my first attempt on 2/7/07. With continued studying, confidence, and relaxation, I was able to pass my second attempt two months later. You can do this--you know what to expect and you know your weak areas...keep us posted on your success..AND yes prayers & good vibes out to ya on 5/11!!! GO FOR IT!!

Keep some hope..even though it's probably hard to. the first time i took it, it was at around day 10 or so that i gave up..after calls to the BON..and them just saying that they cannot give results over the phone . I had a friend who took hers the day after me--we were both grieving together, but after 10 days her name suddenly appeared on the lic. verfication. I received my "sorry" envelope in the mail. the wait is definitely the worst and i feel for you guys..this will just make u stronger whatever the outcome..

  14. I Passed!! found out on tues (4/17)am..such a relief..i was studying again the day before I found out, but now it's time to relax. This site is wonderful..we all seem to know what we're going thru after nclex.. Thanks for the encouragement, allnurses & especially GOOD LUCK to all that are preparing or waiting for nclex results!!
  15. I took the NCLEX RN on Thurs 4/12. Walked out after 2.5 hrs & 76 Q's Hoping I had more Q's... The weekend was long Doubted myself Hoped and today, Tues 4/17 in the wee hours of day, I discovered my name on the BON site! Relief Surprise I can put the books away... Studied in class with Kaplan & used Saunders (with Suzanne's first tip).. Good Luck to all that are preparing/waiting! --a New RN
