I can't wait to start clinicals either. I start in April. I am only a little nervous about the curriculum.Darn skippy! I can't wait to start cinicals in the fall (provided I pass this last semester of pre-reqs, of course!) I used to be envious of my classmates last semester would were starting clinicals this semester. Now I get to say that I'm starting clinicals next semester!:stdnrsrck:
Just remember that MANY people have done it before us, and ALWAYS stay positive. I refuse to go into clinicals with the atitude that I may fail. Oh heck no! I WILL pass.
Now, I won't lie and say that I'm not nervous, I am definitely nervous. But then I come to this site and read posts about nursing students who just passed their NCLEX exams, and I think to myself that I can't wait to post the same thing in two years.
P.S. I'm so jealous that you are starting in April. I have to wait til Sept.

To tell you the truth, I'm kind of nervous. This is my first semester of school ever (home schooled K-12) and I expected it to take this whole year to do pre-reqs. The nursing advisor advised me to do all the pre-reqs this semester and over the summer take A&P II. I will be starting clinicals in the fall God-willing. I didn't expect it to happen so fast.

Is it just me or are the rest of you pre-nursing people soooooooooooo excited for clinicals to begin too? I can't wait to actually be in the hospital learning and doing!!! I think it is so interesting! It probably sounds horrible but my grandma was in the ER last week and I sat there with her for hours. Luckily she wasn't too bad off, she fell and broke her nose but during that time I came to know exactly what every other patient in her area was in for. I am just so curious????????????? I talked with the nurses and tech and tried to get all the info I could. I felt like a sponge with plenty of room to soak up more. I just wanted to know if everyone else was as neurotic as I am?
I've been told I should have been a detective but hopefully one day my patients will benefit from my inquisitive nature!:w00t:
