I took my NCLEX-PN and it shut off at the minimum number of questions which is 85. I'm kind of nervous about the results. I've had around 20-25 SATA, a few ordered responses, a few exhibit questions, and many management and prioritization questions. Overall, I felt it to be challenging and not too easy.
I'm afraid to do the PVT because I don't want to lose 200 dollars at the moment in case I've failed. I live in FL and I can get quick results in 2 days but I just need some thoughts in case in the meantime.

Actually the minimum number of questions is 75, not 85 - sounds like you were getting higher level questions though, I'm sure you did well. I didn't do the pvt for the same exact reason, didn't want to risk getting charged. Good luck!

Well nclex stops giving you questions when it's 95 percent sure your ability is clearly above or clearly below passing standard. It looks like you received higher level questions so I would guess that you passed.

All the test shutting off in 85 questions means is that it shut off in 85 questions. Nothing more.
Most people pass the test on their first try, so the odds are in your favor. Try to stay calm (easier said that done, I know) as you wait for the official results.
Best of luck!

Somebody may have already mentioned this, so sorry if I'm repeating but the minimum number of questions for NCLEX-PN is 85, it is 75 for NCLEX-RN
