Hi: I will start with the CNA classes next week. Any advice? I heard that the test is difficult?

:balloons:i passed!! im officially licensed!! what a great feeling, a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders!! i was freaking out previously for good reason! i knew i was gonna get peri-care! along with that, i had weight, feeding, teds, and of course washing hands. the examiners were a lot more casual and lenient than i thought they were going to be!

good luck to everyone else who are taking there states!

and congrats to all those who have passed!

Congrats!!!!!!

Hi there. No, the CNA exam is not difficult. I've already taken the CNA exam in June and I passed it. The written part is self-explanatory. If you pay attention to standardized precautions, PPE, and scene sineros in your class, you shall do fine. Additionally, the CNA exam is composed of a skills/ practical portion. Just make sure you practice those skills until you've got them done step, by step. And the most important advice is to never give up and always try your best when the examination time arrives. Practice the skills many times. The more you practice, the more you will become comfortable with the skills. Even if you make a mistake during the practicals, ALWAYS acknowledge to the proctor that you know you made a mistake. Futhermore and foremost, always ask questions, even if they seem stupid. Good luck with your class, the CNA exam, and in everything you do! :lol2: let me know when you pass. ;)

I'm so happy I passed!!! I wish I was headed to nursing school, but that'll come again one day. Now, I'm onto finding a great job!

i passed my nursing assistant exam...yay...congrats to all u other cna's..lookin for local part time cna jobs...but i am stayin with the company i work for now which is walgreens...i make $13 a hour their with an overnight schedule monday thru thurs )onto friday morning) so i have friday saturday and sunday nights off and most of mondays off until i go to work at 7pm...can u really beat that? i am waiting to get into nursing program due to shortage of teachers..so i have to work full time right now to pay bills. i was thinking of workin at a nursing home once a week or something. cuz once school starts i will have to cut my hours at walgreens..and i rather get $13 an hour than 9 or 10..i have been with the company for 6+ years 14 paid vacay days, annual 1200 bonus...bank sick days and vacay if i didnt use all///kinda hard to pass up when ur a college student

I passed!! WOOHOO!! I was so nervous, but it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I ended up passing at the top of my class with a 99% overall average (and a 98% on state exam, and 100% on skills), so much better than I thought I would do. I'm so proud of myself. My skills test was today, and I already applied at the hospital affiliated with the college I went to (and where we did our clinicals) so hopefully I get the job there.

The skills that I pulled were "teeth brushing on conscious pt, showering, falls, measuring weight, and mechanical lift".

I passes both my written and skills today.

I did hand washing, perineal care, transfer from bed to wheelchair, respirations and denture care.

next step lpn school which start in march.

I would like to add my name to this list!! Woohoo! I passed today!

Thanks to everyone for your help and support!
