can i transition from lpn to rn via college network in maryland?

I passes both my written and skills today. I did hand washing, perineal care, transfer from bed to wheelchair, respirations and denture care. next step lpn school which start in march.

sshannon, what u said got me thinking about the rn program so i went online and found out that i can take most of my pre reqs on line so what i am planning on doing is go down to the community college and apply so i can start taking classes on line and still spend some time with my baby. What do u think?

Thanks 4 the input.... lpn in maryland is 1 yr whereas rn is like 3 yrs with pre reqs. I want to start making the money after one year then i can do the lpn to rn bridge.

Just a quick update.... I read everybodys post and i decided to adhere to it. I will put off lpn school until march 08, thank you to all who responded it is greatly appreciated. I learn a lot from this site, it is just unbelieavable that a website like this exist... thanks to the founder, the moderators and all the wonderful resgistered users may God bless u all.

hello, i am getting my cna lic. in a few days i just wanted to know does hospitals hire cna with no prior experiences.

university of the district of columbia offers lpn classes. It is highly competetive. i am starting mine this september.

go for it. i am in the process of staring lpn class as well and i plan tp work at least 33 hours a week so i can contribute something towards our bills.
