Hi also OGP nurse, also found out about Rn.com courses after NCLEX when I thought the studying was over but they are short courses that you do at your own pace and the tests are on the computer. Don't panic if you don't pass any you just do them till you do. They are actually quite good courses and fairly easy, so please do not worry about them. Are you waiting for your I140? or have you already got?.
Best of luck and enjoy your holiday

Hate to tell you but the studying will never be over, especially while working as a nurse in the US. You are going to have to do different programs to keep up with your field, as well as specialty. Most states have requirements of a certain number of continuing ed hours that are required to even renew your license.
As well as quite a bit of reading to do once you get over here.

This is same in the UK
Oh yeah I know the studying never ends, but I just did over 4 months of studying at least 8 hours a day when not working, to pass nclex! I only passed nclex 4 days ago! I thought they would at least give me some time to recover and celebrate hehe!
No I do not have my form yet collette, how far along the process are you? I still need to fill in the pre forms, I am off to the states for 6 weeks next week, so I need to send it asap, just been so busy working and its finally the weekend, I am off out to celebrate!!
Thanks for the posts :)

you should do fine the courses are easy to do, as tiggerlover says its similar to the requirements needed here (PREP), your portfolio, which the NMC can call in at any time.
obviously mine is completely up to date :uhoh21:

I only received info on courses a month ago, so did them all in a few hours as madwife said there not very difficult a lot of common sense.
Also done a lot of the suggested one as well, as tigerlover said they are quiet fun to do.

I didn't know about all those extra classes until a month ago (7 months after having passed NCLEX) But I find that they are a good refresher and fun to read (for the most part). My mind was ready to absorb and study again, though since NCLEX was finished such a while ago.
