ANCC 2016- Has anyone taken it?

Hi! I am about to graduate in May & plan to take the ANCC certification examination.

I was wondering if anyone has taken this exam this year yet? I was curious how long it takes to get the authorization to test after graduation?

Also, any advice on books to look at for cultural topics and other non-clinical topics?

I took the APEA review in January and have read over Fitzgerald review book, & Leik book.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am taking my second to the last class right now and just passed the school's FNP exit exam. The school encouraged me to take the exam during my last class which is in 5 weeks from now. I heard that the AANP or ANCC won't release the score to the school or mail out to the student's house until the official transcript of all classes are completed. However, I am wondering if the TESTING CENTER will give the student the PRINT OUT result "passed or not passed" on the same day?

you can take the AANP before you graduate & they will give you print out at testing center, but you won't get official certification until you graduate. ANCC will not let you test until after you graduate & they receive your final official transcript. So, there's no way to take that one before you graduate.

Passed both ANCC and AANP .... AANP was harder for sure! ANCC was 50% is research and policy

were you given lab values? Also, did you have pics to interpret or ecg?

and, Could you tell me what you used to study for nonclinical portion?

Thank you for your reply. Did you experience it yourself or where could you find that information? I asked my FNP program director and other professors at school regarding if the testing site would give me the print-out, but they weren't too sure either. I really don't want to take the test if I have to wait for 2 whole months for my result to mail home. That would be an everyday torture for me! :)

Two of my classmates took aanp & received it then at the testing center. I am taking ANCC, so I'm still waiting to test.

Yes I was given lab values but the norms were shown, I got pictures and ekg strip on the ANCC

For the on clinical portion I used the last chapter in Leik regarding the non clinical

Hello,

The Prometric testing center will give you a print out. Therefore, you will know your results the day you take the exam.

Can anyone tell me if theory or theorists are heavy on the ancc fnp exam? There are just so many of them. Thx
