Has anyone applied for the AMNP Summer 2011 term? It's been 3 weeks since the deadline for applications and I was wondering if anyone has heard anything?
They say interviews will be held in Feb. and they will give ample time to prepare for a trip, but I'm worried since its already Feb and I havent heard anything! Also, will they let us know if we dont make it to the interview round? Will they send rejection letters or just never tell us?
Yeah you should apply for financial aid now. It has to be done at least 45 days before we start. Go to the FAFSA website and complete the form for 2010 - 2011 for the summer semester and the 2011- 2012 for the fall and next spring. We don't have to be accepted yet to do it. It's been a confusing process so far but check out UABs website and it'll help
What do you mean by "don't move your financial aid around?" I'm so confused by this whole process and afraid I've forgotten a certain form or something really important. I'm also terrified I won't have enough money to live on.

I'm kinda nervous but I think I'm ready! I just wonder how many people are interviewing and how many they are accepting...It scares me not knowing our competition haha
Yea.. me too.. soo nervous.. well, hopefully everything goes well!!! Good luck on interviews this week!!! I think we will find out next week if we got in or not! They are suppose to mail on march 28th, the letters..:)
Yeah they are, but I'll believe that when I see it haha. Interviews were supposed to be held in mid Feb and the final decision by Mar 1.....but oh well, good luck to you too! Maybe we'll be future study partners!
Wishing everyone good luck on their AMNP interview. I am in the AMNP Cohort # 2. I finished phase 1 last May. The program is challenging but well worth it Again, best of luck! FYI about our class...we had five males. Most students were in their 20's and several had just finished thier BS. We also had several in thier early to mid thirties and four were over 40. All students that finished phase 1 passed NCLEX!! Again, good luck!
Aww thank you! Congrats on doing so great in the program. I love hearing good news about it and that people enjoy it. It makes me feel better about my decision haha And that is awesome about NCLEX!
I have a practice mock interview tomorrow to help me prepare, so hopefully I'll do alright :)
bamamegan, I wish I didn't already have roommates but I do two girls going to med school so our apt is going to be study study all the time haha. But we're getting a place at Mayfair in Homewood. It's a pretty nice place, you should check it out!
