American University of Antigua School of Nursing

Published

Hello All,

Has anyone heard or have any information about American University of Antigua School of Nursing(AUA)? If yes, please let me know your feedback.

Thanks.

guess u dont know him . he is the coz he is one of a kind. go to aua to find out more

Who is the "him" you're speaking about....because from what I've read, Paco is a lawyer who is going in to healthcare.

The person who owns this school is another individual....who is also a lawyer

thanks curiousme! ;)

yes, that's correct ... i am not the lawyer associated with aua, fuburg. i was simply refuting your blanket statement of lawyers above, being that i still am one. we are not all deadbeats or shysters (however you spell that word). i was the most ethical and honest attorney i could be in the profession while i was still practicing, and i still have a license in good standing. personally behooves me to leave a profession with that reputation that the public keeps putting me in the same category. not that nursing is completely immune, but it's a heck of a lot more compassionate and respected.

Some of the spelling and grammar in this post is mind boggling:uhoh3:. I was trying to read the entire thread but it seriously makes my head hurt

does anyone know his name , guy is mad cocckkkyyy

Guys its official, (from cgfns)

finally cgfns told me that aua in not accredited,

american university of antigua is not accredited by new york state dept. Of education,

that means you can not sit for your nclex if you went to aua.

And also lehman is not going to transfer any of your credits since school you went to is not recognized by new york state dept. Of nursing and dept. Of education. I also called about 14 states to ask them about their credit transfer policy and they all told me that if school is not recognized then there is no chance of me getting any credit transferred any where in united states of america.

Also i got accepted into st. Kitts guys, thank lord. So much lies over at new york office, cant believe it.

I honestly don't understand why US citzens/permanent residents have to consider going overseas for a nursing education. There are PLENTY of nursing programs right here in the USA, ones that are clearly accredited and/or approved by their respective state Boards of Nursing ... there is bound to be one appropriate for everyone. At least you will KNOW that you can sit for NCLEX after graduation. Cannot imagine someone's situation dire enough to have to resort to leaving the country. Doesn't that take money? And isn't financial aid limited if not nonexistent? If you ask me, you guys are going through so much more hassle to uncover details about these questionable overseas programs than it's worth. What makes you think that getting a nursing education in another country (assuming you're American) is going to give you an edge as an applicant among other American-trained nurses when you return here?

Unless of course you're planning to be a nurse overseas right off the bat, then that's a whole other issue.

big aua scam:

aicasa's school of nursing program is the 1st of its kind, designed to help you succeed in all levels of nursing, both in the u.s. and the caribbean.

upon successful completion of the asn program*, graduates will be eligible to sit for the national council licensure examination (nclex®-rn), granting them entrance into the cuny lehman one-year rn to bs in nursing program (*total of 90 transferable credits is required).

Can someone please please please tell me how come aua school of nursing is still up and running when nyc state dept of education announced that aua school(aicasa) has no affiliation with new york state of nursing board because school is not accredited and therefore lehman cant accept any of ur credits....

I mean anyone out there from antigua or new york office can please comment on this...

New York would have no authority over a closing a school in Antigua and why would Antigua officials care, they don't care that Americans are going there to get a worthless education.

Caveat empor.....translates to "Let the buyer beware."
