Anyone applying for Fall 2015 want to share info? Aka share nervous concerns until we find out in a few weeks? ;-p
Hello all! I know I'm late to the conversation but I applied to ARC, SCC, Sierra, and Yuba College this semester for the fall! I still haven't heard anything from ARC like the rest of you but I did get accepted into Yuba College for Fall 2015 and SCC as an alternate for spring 2016. I hope you all get accepted into ARC, but I know how competitive it is (I got rejected last year) so if some of you don't make it there or SCC/Sierra, I'd definitely try Yuba College. I don't know if any of you tried applying there but I definitely would if it's not too inconvenient for you. Regardless, best of luck to you all and I hope you make it!
Wow! Thanks for all the info! Does anybody in your cohort work? I'm a server and I've been trying to figure out if I could manage to work 1 or 2 (4-5 hour shifts) shifts a week at least for the first semester.
Nikkim228: a few people work VERY part time, but it's tough. First 6 weeks are exceptionally rough.

If you got accepted within the past week to SCC, chances are very good that ARC's acceptance letters will go out shortly. In my own experience, typically they send out their letters within about a week of each other. What I've also seen is that in the past, they usually send their letters about 1.5 weeks after earliest date they give after the close of the filing period. So if they say 4-8 weeks, figure hearing back from them around 5.5 weeks. If they have a lot of applicants, that may take 6 weeks after the close of the filing period.
SCC usually sends their letters out first and then ARC sends theirs. The acceptance window is relatively short but it should allow you to decide which program you want to attend as they build in just enough time for you to receive multiple letters.
