Anyone applying for Fall 2015 want to share info? Aka share nervous concerns until we find out in a few weeks? ;-p

Hey all! I read on this forum that ARC, SIERRA, SCC take online courses for science prerequisites. .does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

If the "online" course is exactly the same in all respects as the in-person version and the transcript does not take any distinction between online or not, and the course satisfies the science prerequisite, that those colleges should accept the courses. The one minor caveat is that any lab that needs to be done is to be done in person. It is rather difficult to do an experimental lab online with that lab needs to be done in person, with actual experimental results.

In other words, in theory, you could take microbiology with the classroom portion online but you would have to do the lab portion in person. If everything was done online, including the lab, I doubt that the course would be transferable.

ahhh yes so it's more that they accept hybrid science courses. . I know a ton of schools will offer lecture/lab online and not indicate it on the transcript and some schools accept the online sciences as well. I'm trying to narrow a list before i spend time and money enrolling in courses :) ..Thank you for your help!
