I didn't see a thread for this semester, so I started one. I'm applying now. Taking the TEAS in a couple of weeks and submitting everything right after. It's my first time applying. I am really nervous! I am honestly not gonna get my hopes up because I know people going on their 5th time applying, so that's a little demoralizing. I am considering Sac City and USF Sac campus as well, but I would rather not graduate with a ton of debt from a private school.
How is everybody doing?
I think I may have messed mine up. Some of mine are from out of state and I didn't get a petition. I had sent them in January so they could be evaluated because that's what I was told to do but I saw on the SCC website it talks about a petition for transfer classes. None of that was in the application guidelines or the catalog so I didn't do that. I emailed the nursing department and they told me to contact one of the counselors so Now I just need to wait to hear back from them and see if I messed everything up or not í ½í¸”

When I went to the informational meeting, i think they said if you took your classes in California and they are in the articulation grid, you don't need to do anything.
I think they mentioned also that if you took classes out of state, you have to do everything, get it evaluated and petitioned that the classes they require are equivalent to the classes that you took out of state.
When I talked to them before they didn't tell me that but said they needed to be evaluated so I sent my transcripts in January. It said on one of them, I think scc, to send the class description from the catalog with your transcripts if it wasn't on the grid so I did that but no one told me anything about a petition. I have some classes from New Mexico, Kansas and Alaska since my husband is military.
Mines still says "received"... do you guys know if it ever changes to "disqualified" so we would know or will it just stay as "received"? I applied last app period and I was qualified. I have not changed anything in my app, so I am confused why it would take the system this long to change my status.
