I didn't see a thread for this semester, so I started one. I'm applying now. Taking the TEAS in a couple of weeks and submitting everything right after. It's my first time applying. I am really nervous! I am honestly not gonna get my hopes up because I know people going on their 5th time applying, so that's a little demoralizing. I am considering Sac City and USF Sac campus as well, but I would rather not graduate with a ton of debt from a private school.
How is everybody doing?

I will be applying to ARC for the first time
Im currently taking Anthro310 and Comm301 which limited me from applying to SCC, 2019 will be the year if i dont get in this year
ARC doesnt require those to be complete for me to apply
Im applying with a 4.0
TEAS 81.3%
Hi! how did you do??? any tips? How is Chamberlain? A friend is applying.
Hi Alex! are you considering private schools? are you in a rush to graduate or do you have time to go for the cheaper option?

I took my TEAS at a PSI exam center so I have to wait 48 hours for my results which is really nerve wracking. Chamberlain is my last choice due to price but my husband transferred his GI bill to me. I was just hoping to use it for grad school. Sac state is first choice but it was extremely competitive spring semester and idk how the new point system is gonna affect that. I didn't think the TEAS was too bad. It was longer than the Kaplan but most of it was easier imo and I got an 82 on the Kaplan.
As of right now private schools are out of the list...im trying to get in ASAP like everyone else, I have a family, so i don't really have much time to sit around but if it comes to it , I will look into private
I got my TEAS score back and got an 82.7. It is not as high as I had hoped but is good enough for the ADN programs and chamberlain requires the Hesi. Make sure you know basic algebra, metric system, meiosis, cardiac and respiratory systems. Brush up on all your A&P and know the different types of writing such as narrative, expository etc.
I'm worried about science... It's SO much stuff... As of now my practice tests give me 75% science, 91% Math, and high 80s for the English ones. I'm really hoping to get at least 80% on the science one, so I got the ATI online study to take me to the next level... Hopefully... I have 2 weeks. I'm not applying to Sac State, so I don't know why I'm stressing out, but I want to do well anyway.
How do you get the final score? It is just the mean of all the scores combined or does each subject hold different weights?
I got an email that says total score 82.7%
Reading- 87.2
Math- 93.8
Science- 76.6
English and Language usage- 70.8
I wish I had focused more on the english but I was worried about the math and science. It showed in my scores. I did not study as much as I should of due to some family emergencies but it works and if I dont get in ill retake for next year although I hope I dont have to do that.
I did well on the science and math..what killed me was the English and reading...i did really well on my A&P courses and really retain a lot of the info...how did you do in your classes? My only recommendation is to watch crash course on YouTube or read the summary of each chapter in textbook on science
Science I got an 90% on the practice test A
And got an 88% on the real test
