American River College fall 2018 hopefuls

I didn't see a thread for this semester, so I started one. I'm applying now. Taking the TEAS in a couple of weeks and submitting everything right after. It's my first time applying. I am really nervous! I am honestly not gonna get my hopes up because I know people going on their 5th time applying, so that's a little demoralizing. I am considering Sac City and USF Sac campus as well, but I would rather not graduate with a ton of debt from a private school.

How is everybody doing?

Has anyone heard anything? I am dying over here, I know that they technically have until wednesday but ive just been so anxious!
I'm dying. I got an email from ARC about student elections or whatever and my heart stopped thinking that was it. I still have in my head that Wednesday is the day, but you never know... it WILL happen this week. I wish we could call and just ask when to expect anything.

Yea, I guess i was just hopeful that it would be sooner! Fingers corssed we hear back in a timely manner.

Last year they waited until the day after the 8 week mark! I hope they don't do that to us this year!

I hope not! When do they usually notify students? is it usually afternoon or morning?

If they don't do it by Friday I might loose my mind lol.

According to the past years' threads I've read on this forum, they're usually right around 8 weeks. Sometimes they're early. Who knows what's going on behind the scenes!

Last semester I received my rejection email 2 days before the 8 weeks was up at 2:51pm. I'm pretty sure the students that were accepted received their acceptance letters the day before. Last year I received my rejection letter on April 28th and the students accepted received their letters on the 27th one day after the 8 weeks was up. Again I received that letter around 3pm. ARC really seems to like to use the whole 8 weeks or pretty close!

I feel like this group should have played scrabble or words with friends on our phones to pass the time as a team hahaha... If I don't stay busy I feel the anxiety coming.

I emailed ARC last week and they got back to me with "We will notify by the end of the month".

So no info there, but on the bright side at least we don't have to wait a whole month.

Last year they notified on the 27th, so maybe till Friday
