Hey gang,
even though i do enjoy all the great advice here, I am starting to get a little discouraged. I have posted a few things, and have rarely if any at all received a reply. Am I posting in a way that confuses others? Please help. most of my questions revolve around the school of my choice for the LVN program and the HESI exam math portion.

Hey there! I have no idea your post looks fine to me.Perhaps you are posting in the wrong area? I think there can be confusion about that. Anyway, thought I would reply and welcome you to the forum. I am new here, too.

I see from your posts that you are looking for information about a program located in California. You might want to post in the California Nursing Programs Forum.
Also try posting in the LPN/LVN Nursing Student Forum for information specific to this topic.
Hopefully this helps you get more responses.

Hi armysgt, I agree with t he others here, perhpas you may need to try a different place..like the one for LPN's and questions pertaining to that prgram..but we an see you here..welcome..its great that you have chosen thsis profession! I take it you have been in the army? I wish I could offer you some kind of help, but I really know nothing of the LPN testing process. However, there is alot of info around here that can help you..

Well I looked at all the posts you put up and they all repeat themselves. Is this school good, I dont care about cost and is there any change going on besides the Name? People have already answered those questions and I have to say that I am with them. WCC or whatever it goes by now is expensive as hell. Even with the post 9/11 GI Bill you are looking at alot of out of pocket costs as the yellow ribbon program will only cover an additional 2631 (school) 2631 (VA matching) plus 330ish per credit hour. That is not going to come close to the cost of the LVN/LPN program (41470 over 18 months, so you are still looking at paying nearly 30,000 dollars to get your LVN/LPN after using the gi bill), and if you do their Bridge program you will runout of benefits before you even get into their nursing program. All in all it is going to set YOU (not the federal government for your federal service) back 127,000. Even if you dump all your BAH into school you still will be out 55,000 for a RN. I know you are getting up there in age and want to get past the Army, but 127,000 of debt (I really don't think using BAH for school is a real possiability) is a crazy amout to pay to be able to take the NCLEX.
armysgt, would you ever consider just going staight into a RN program? it would bypass the expence of the LPN program, of which can often cost more than an RN program at a Community College. I cant belive just how expensive the lpn course is at some laces. Here on Cape Cod, its 10,000 plus another $1000 for books, insurance, scrubs, and equipment. So with the GI bill, and possibly a small stafford loan, its possible. Are there any high schools or tech schools that are cheap in your area or neighboring area? Do they offer LPN training in the army? I'm thinking...and I'll keep at it for you!..
The Army does indeed offer LPN training. However, I am not looking to re-enlist just to attend the training and serve another few years. I have thought about going straight into an RN program. I'm still pondering that thought. I was online at the Veteran's benifits page and saw that the highest fees by term for California was 2165.25 and 287.00 per credit hour. I am also eligible for 1700.00 monthly basic allowance for housing under this bill for my zip code. and a 1000.00 stipend for books. The cost of the school includes books and uniforms. The school in question has a 2165.25 fee by term and a 335.75 per credit hour fee. they also partake in the yellow ribbon program. I'm optimistic about it all. After some of the drama that I have had to deal with while enlisted in the service paperwork wise, this should not be that bad. :)
