Hey all! I currently work full time at an central jersey outpatient surgery center . I am cross trained in all areas except for scrubbing. I do pre-op/circulate/pacu. I got hired for $38/hr and did not require benefits since I'm under my husbands . An old colleague of mine who has similar credentials as me was hired for $5 and hour more than me at another facility . I feel like I'm being duped ! I have been an RN for 6 years and have been in this specialty for 2 . Anyone know the going hourly rate for a same day facility in jersey ?!

I have no idea - perhaps post this in the NJ nursing forum? In CO, $38/hour sounds wonderful.

Duped? Were you not aware of the hourly rate when you were hired? Did you not agree to this rate?

No idea but thats about $10 more than the hospital I work at so I would say that's pretty good... how did you get that job? It's my dream job to work in an outpatient surgery center but can't even get in for an interview. 1 year med/surg experience.
