I just wanted to know if anyone else had applied to the University of South Alabama summer 2014 traditional Bsn program. If so, what are your thoughts on the program and the selection process. I myself, have applied and I currently feel like I'm on pins and needles, until decisions will be made within the next couple of weeks.
Good luck to all that have applied!!
Hi everyone!!
I actually live in Florida and am a University of Florida graduate (hence the name haha!) I applied to USAs traditional and accelerated program but for fall (the July class?) in Florida that's still summer but I guess it's different there. Do any of you know how competitive the program is? I'm so nervous! I have a bachelors in health science from UF and a Masters in health education and behavior from UF. My masters GPA is a 3.63 and my bachelors is a 3.5...I finished the pre reqs a while ago and they are about a 3.4. I'm having such difficulty finding any information about the program and how competitive it is and I'm glad I found this thread! Do you guys have any idea or believe I may have a good chance? I'm hoping I get some good news, I visited the school last summer on vacation and loved it!
Good luck to you all, I hope you all get in!
Hi GatorLove , Just from knowing some people that has applied and were accepted to the program, as well as reading other post, I would say that your chances of being accepted are pretty high with your prior degree gpas :) . Hopefully your pre reqs gpa, will be good enough. It really just all depends on your current competitors gpa!!
Awesome, thank you!!!
also I read that someone said USA had bad reviews- I wouldn't believe that because I know someone who graduated the accelerated and liked it and now has a job in peds at a great hospital. My boyfriends cousin is actually going through the traditional program now and has a lot of good things to say about it. I'll choose to go off of those instead, plus at this point, I just really want to go to nursing school.
