Am I the only one that applied to the University of South Alabama BSN (trad summer)

Published

I just wanted to know if anyone else had applied to the University of South Alabama summer 2014 traditional Bsn program. If so, what are your thoughts on the program and the selection process. I myself, have applied and I currently feel like I'm on pins and needles, until decisions will be made within the next couple of weeks.

Good luck to all that have applied!!

I was considering their ABSN until I read bad review after review about the quality of the program and faculty. Then went and did further research on the internet and read the same. Sorry to be a buzzkill :/

I'm sure it's what you make of it, but I made the right choice for me.

Thank you for replying. I actually know and have worked with many r.n.'s including a nurse practitioner, who have all graduated from USA, and it seems to be a very good school and program. I've also done my research, but I chose to go to the school itself rather than read information offline, as information online can be out right untruthful.

Good luck to you RHill9919

I applied for traditional BSM for summer at south! Im itching to get the dang letter haha.

Could you or anyone else who reads this let me know ASAP if you get your letter. You don't even have to say if your accepted or not im just going craaazzzzzy:nailbiting:

Lol, you're not alone! I sure will, as soon as I receive me letter. Will you do the same please?

jrl905, what do you think the gpa, cut off will be this year for summer acceptance?

Of course I will. I have no idea. I have heard as long as you have a 3.0 you will get in, but it really just depends on the number of applicants. I just wish south wasn't so slow with the letters. I have a friend who got in last summer and he couldn't remember the specific date but he said he got his at the end of March.

oh wow! So that means that your friend will be graduating this fall, that is so nice! I sure am hoping and praying that we get in.

No he quit nursing school, which DRIVES ME CRAZY! haha all theses people deciding nursing isn't for them once they took someone else's chances on getting in drives me crazy. me too this is only my second time applying and I got wait listed last time but im changing majors if I don't because I need to graduateeeee

Ugh, you said my exact thoughts, just a waist of space!! So were you not guaranteed a seat for the next term? May I ask your gpa when you were wait listed?

not guaranteed no, everyone keeps saying "oh you'll get in if you got wait listed" but I am not giving my hopes on that. Someone at UAH got me to sign up for a class.. I paid for it and everything and I didn't get it and I don't need that class at south so I learned the hard way haha. When I got wait listed I believe it was a 2.7 but I replaced 2 Cs with As since then
