Alvin Community College - ADN Spring 2017

Published

Hello.... The application period for Alvin Community College spring 2017 ADN program starts in 2 days... I will be submitting my application for consideration. Just wanted to know if there is anyone else who will be applying too.

I am also ready for my BSN and I have everything complete but I'm finding very competitive out there. UT Health had somewhere around 1200 applicants and they only accept 100 to 140. some people have some amazing stats. That's the reason I applied at ACC. If I'm not mistaken Micro was a course that had to be completed for the applications, that may have harmed your app. When I went to the meeting they said there had to be a grade for the science courses, "if not you can bet someone will be compete and ready." I could be wrong but she did state that to us. still I wish you the best, maybe BSN is the route you should be taking.. I applied for UTMB and UT Health and did not make either. My grades are good and my HESI was 88 overall (better grades were it counted) and I can't remember my TEAS grade but it was good as well. BEST WISHED TO YOU AND EVERYONE HERE

Thank you for the information. If I don't get accepted I plan on retaking my TEAS to become more competitive next go round. Good luck to you and I really hope you get accepted!

I was put on the alternate list. I'm number 7

Congrats! You have a good chance at getting in. What were your stats if you don't mind me asking?

I was accepted as well!

Gpa was 3.0 and I got an 88 on my hesi, but I do live in the tax district

I had a friend check my email and it looks like we both made in into the program!! I'm very excited to get started and I wish everyone the best!!

Hello!

I got my letter of acceptance this morning! However, I think I'm going to forgo it in order to do the HCC ADN program at Coleman College which is much closer to me than Alvin, going to think hard for about a day or two and then let Karen know.

@FutureRN_Taylor My stats were 4.0 GPA, 95% on the HESI, and I have completed all the classes prereq's and coreq's (Micro, Lifespan, A&P II). I do not live in Alvin. I live in Katy, which is sooo far lol.

Congrats to all those that got in and to those that didn't, everything happens for a reason and there's something better out there for sure!! I had a 1.6 GPA at one time so ANYTHING is possible, that's for sure!

Hi guys I was put on the alternate list and I'm number 21. My stats are 3.5 overall gpa (I completed all my pre-reqs and core classes) and an 82.9 on HESI. I do not live in Alvin or attended that school at all. However, with the same stats I got into UTHealth which is sooo much closer to where I live (5-8 minutes away from me) and I emailed Karen this morning to tell her I wanted to be removed from the alternate list.

Congrats to everyone who got in! and to those who didn't I hope you get in somewhere else!

Hey everyone!

I received my acceptance email this morning, too! I will be accepting the offer.

Congrats to everyone that got accepted! Can't wait to meet my future classmates! :)
