Hey everyone!!
I decided to apply to Alvin after a friend told me about the program. It is a bit far from my home (about 40 min) but I rather start somewhere than keep waiting.
This go 'round, I am applied to TWU, Wharton Sugarland, and HCC.
These are my scores:
_________________________
Overall-90.8%
Science GPA- 3.81
Math-96
Read Comprehension-90
Grammar-94
Vocabulary-82- I did not study this section
AP-92
Best wishes to everyone! ?
It's the Polysom program at Alvin.
It's 4 semesters Spring-Spring (including summer).
Ms. Goodwill.
I've wanted to be a nurse forever so that's the goal.
I only applied because of the competitiveness for these nursing programs. I didn't want to give up my spot and not get into the ADN program. The polysom program only accepts 10 students and their State exams a 100% pass rate. They have a 100% job placement rate. The student that is currently in the program won't graduate until May. They already have jobs waiting for them in May. There are only two Polysom programs in Texas and Alvin is one and the other is in North Texas.
lol, I don't know. I applied on the very last day and got in...

I personally would say accept it. If you get notification that you are in the ADN then email your person and tell them that you would prefer the nursing program. If your goal is nursing I would say don't waste time or money on the program. It would be helpful but I would say focus more on nursing or classes that go towards nursing.
Did you apply for the LVN program for Alvin?

Also, I'm finishing my last 3 classes for BSN prerequisites now. Ill graduate with an assc. of General studies on 12/12..
That is awesome!! Congrats! Well yes, accept because I am sure they will have someone next in line for when you get accepted to the ADN program.
