Hey everyone!!

I decided to apply to Alvin after a friend told me about the program. It is a bit far from my home (about 40 min) but I rather start somewhere than keep waiting.

This go 'round, I am applied to TWU, Wharton Sugarland, and HCC.

These are my scores:

Math-96

Read Comprehension-90

Grammar-94

Vocabulary-82- I did not study this section

AP-92

Best wishes to everyone! ?

Hi...I plan on applying as well for 2020. I have allowed almost two years to pass me by after retaking my sciences. I'm a Respiratory Therapist & ready to transition into nursing. I haven't taken my HESI. I'm scheduled next month. Will keep you updated. Praying that we're both accepted. ????

Hey! That is awesome. I am a medical assistant and I think it is awesome that we get points for having medical experience. Dont sweat the HESI. Study for sure but it is much easier than the TEAS test. Best wishes to you and keep me posted!

I will definitely keep in touch. I am currently retaking my Micro since it expired. It isn't needed to apply, but I didn't want that lingering over me at I get accepted. I am excited that there are points for medical experience & healthcare degrees. ?

Have you attended the info session?

I have not they are not until sept so I will go on the 3rd or 10th I forgot which date. Yeah it's better to retake it for your BSN. Once your a nurse you don't have to have current science classes. It is much easier to transfer.

I am going on the 3rd. Let me know if you're going on that date so we can talk. ?

Awesome! I go next week. I did turn in my app today though. I am so excited and nervous. Where else did you apply? Not sure if you told me already

I applied also and I’m going for the information session on the 10th. My HESI

I'm worried I won’t get in because I just took the first dose of the hep B and the second dose is October 1st which is after the application deadline and they said we have to have atleast the first two dose before the application deadline. I called and they said I should ask during the information session.

Did you ever try having your titers done or you just started the HepB series because it is on the application?

I will be there next week on the 10th, as well. From my job it is not far but from home it is a bit further away.

No I didn’t try having the titers done I just started the hep b series even though I’ve taken one dose back in 2015...is it too late to get a titers done now?

hopefully I get to see you at the session, I live in Houston about 50 mins from my house but I’m willing to drive if I get accepted because nursing schools in Texas is becoming sooo competitive, different school different requirements. Texas woman was the initial plan but I heard the teas is soo difficult
