Has anybody applied to Alvin for the Spring 2023 Semester?

My wife just did. 
Scores:

94 HESI

3.6 GPA including Micro (or something near this depending on if they include her old elective grade or not) 

She also applied to San Jac Central and North but they changed their rubric and it really messed her scores up since she had some withdrawals from back in 2007-2010 college courses. Seems discriminatory towards older students who have lots of hours. 
 

What about you? Scores?

That’s funny you mention San Jac, im in a similar situation. I had a few withdrawals due to the Army and it messed with my points as well. From what I heard, Alvin didn’t admit anyone with under a 3.5 and 92 HESI last cohort.

Nice! Well we should be in good shape if this cohort is similar. Did you attend San Jac primarily? 

I applied for Alvin and San Jac as well. Not a fan of San Jac’s rubric because I had some withdrawals back in 2007.

HESI: 93.2

GPA: 3.61 (micro in progress)

I've also applied to San Jacinto Central but my rubric score is only 19 because of 5 or so withdrawals. Yikes

 

Has anyone received acceptance letters? Michel contacted me last week to verify they had a copy of my out of state course evaluation.

I reached out to them by email today, and was told they we hear back mid November ! 

Wow, I started the student blue card process on September 09, 2022. The TX board of nursing has been taking forever to review my fingerprints and background checks to complete the student blue card process. That’s worrisome for those who wait for mid-November to start that process. 

 When did you get your finerprinted? I got my done 10/14 and my care is coming in the mail today !!
