  1. Congrats to everyone! I just received my acceptance email this afternoon. I was rejected or waitlisted by all the ADN programs I applied to for Spring '23. I know it's cliche but stay positive and never give up hope.
  2. We all here to encourage each other. It’s not a competition! None of us have control over who the selection committee chooses for admittance. Please remember we may all be classmates. Be kind! Hope everyone had an opportunity to celebrate the World Series win today. Go Astros
  3. @ddiaz611 I responded back within a few hours of receiving the waitlist notification from North campus on Thursday. On Friday, I received an email from Norma confirming they received my acceptance of being on the waitlist. I almost made the mistake of just reapplying all instead of following their strict instructions on what they requested to be in the subject line. Yesterday was the deadline for North’s wailtlist candidates to submit their interest in accepting a reserve offer. I’m sorry to hear you never heard back from North but at least your accepted into Central! They have the BSN bridge program there that really interested me. I’m still waiting on Alvin college to send out their Spring announcements. They don’t have the withdraws stipulation and I got a ton of bonus points for having my CNA and bachelor degree. I appreciate the update and best of luck!
  4. @Ciara Rodriguez Did North provide you with what spot you’re in the waitlist? I normally thought waitlist candidates usually were notified of what position they’re on the waitlist. I don’t want to annoy Norma since she’s handling everything by herself. I just received a vague confirmation back advising me they received my email accepting my interest of being on the waitlist for the Spring. I’m pending notification from Alvin College but North is a shorter drive from my residence.
  5. I contacted the TBON because I had to disclose an arrest. I went through them directly but they stated normally I would have to wait for the program to initiate the process. The nursing program would start the IdentoGo step and submit the candidates to TBON. If you don’t have to disclose anything then I don’t think you can start the Blue Card process early. It cost me $150 to start the TBON then paid $35 for the fingerprint. I thought the process would of done by now but it’s still pending final review. My charge is officially expunged and doing it early was unnecessary because I have a state approved license and completed the FBI/DPS background check before with no issues but the stipulation of the expungement worried me so I decided not to chance it. I wouldn’t recommend starting early unless you got accepted into the program and received the IdentoGo email. It’s taking me several months. I believe the acceptance process is different then what I’m going through and quicker. I recommend keeping a close eye on communication and doing everything thing immediately when they notify you about being accepted.
  6. The TBON has to review the findings. After I complete the fingerprint, TBON waited 15 days before reviewing the results. I called them several days after I completed the fingerprint process because it wasn’t appearing on my portal profile. Just get them done as soon as possible once you’re back in the country. Schedule your appointment time now to do the fingerprints with IdentoGo since that’s done online.
  7. Wow, I started the student blue card process on September 09, 2022. The TX board of nursing has been taking forever to review my fingerprints and background checks to complete the student blue card process. That’s worrisome for those who wait for mid-November to start that process.
  8. Has anyone received acceptance letters? Michel contacted me last week to verify they had a copy of my out of state course evaluation.
  9. Congratulations! I was hoping you accepted Central but hopefully I’ll joining you at North. I just accepted a spot as alternate at North Campus. Word of advice get on top of doing the fingerprint and stay on top of the nursing board! I started the process early on sept 9th. Nursing board received my fingerprint results but failed to process them for several weeks. I’m still waiting on student blue card.
  10. Did anyone get into both Central and North Campus for Spring 2023?
  11. Thanks for the quick replies! Just hoping this means I got into Central??. Did anyone apply to HCCS for the Spring?
  12. Congrats! Did you receive the email from Norma to your personal email or your San Jacinto student email account?
