Published

Hey everyone!!

I decided to apply to Alvin after a friend told me about the program. It is a bit far from my home (about 40 min) but I rather start somewhere than keep waiting.

This go 'round, I am applied to TWU, Wharton Sugarland, and HCC.

These are my scores:
_________________________

Overall-90.8%

Science GPA- 3.81

Math-96

Read Comprehension-90

Grammar-94

Vocabulary-82- I did not study this section

AP-92

Best wishes to everyone! ?

Wow, Thanks for the info...I wish I found this thread early enough, I’ll see if I can get the titer done tomorrow.

you drove 1hr 20 mins everyday for school?...you are a champ!

Yes. Before I transferred I was in Respiratory school in Victoria, TX which is almost a 2 hour drive 1 way. I did that for 5 months. Ot was exhausting. I plan on applying to Austin Community College because that still have the RT to RN transition program

You guys are the real mvp ??????...you both have kids and you’re more motivated than I am, I literally have no excuse to complain about how tired I am, I can only imagine how’s it like juggling kids and nursing school and those long hours drive. I baby sat my aunties son for a day and I also had homework due the same day. I almost went crazy, I’m pretty sure I swore never to have kids that day lol

Oh it is not easy and definitely stressful, but when you have kids it can be more motivating because you want to give them a better future and not be complacent. Either way school and life as an adult is tough. You are doing great no matter how motivated you are just DON'T GIVE UP!!!

I can't wait until we begin to get our responses. I am so anxious to know!!! I really want to start in Jan.

Hi everyone! I have also applied to ACC. My stats are:

API - A (APII- in progress)"

Eng. - A

Lifespan & Gen. Psyc- both A's

Micro- A

GPA 3.8

HESI- 86 (but I will r-take before deadline to strive for at least a 90 overall)

I'm a little concerned about my APII being in progress. I know you can apply with a "grade in progress", but does anyone know about how many days the ADN dept. gives to rec. the Transcript around the end of the semester.(I'm currently taking it at another college) went to the info. meeting last week, didn't remember to ask. Thanks.

I was there as well. Just remember you're competing with applicants that have everything completed. Not that you won't get in because you very well could. I do know that if you're accepted you need to have a transcript sent electronically as soon as grading is complete.

You don't have any Bs so why are you at a 3.8 instead of a 4.0? I'm so nervous. I take my HESI on the 18th

I'm applying to the program as well. Its really close to where I would be moving to so I hope I get in. I'm also applying to COM. & got accepted into Lonestar but it is super far from where I'm going to live

HESI reading- 90

Cumulative HESI- 91.2

Pre-reqs- 3.5

Specializes in Pharmacy Tech..

Yes, that would be my Science GPA. On the HESI I recommend to take your time and start with the subject you struggle with the most. Thank you for your response. Blessings and good luck to everyone!

Oh you have awesome grades! If you retake the HESI would they take the highest or just the most recent? Just to consider before retaking the HESI.

Best wishes to you! I go to the meeting on Tuesday.

Thank you. From the info. meeting I understand they mostly focus on HESI scores and GPA. Good luck to everyone!
