Published

Hey everyone!!

I decided to apply to Alvin after a friend told me about the program. It is a bit far from my home (about 40 min) but I rather start somewhere than keep waiting.

This go 'round, I am applied to TWU, Wharton Sugarland, and HCC.

These are my scores:
_________________________

Overall-90.8%

Science GPA- 3.81

Math-96

Read Comprehension-90

Grammar-94

Vocabulary-82- I did not study this section

AP-92

Best wishes to everyone! ?

No I didn’t try having the titers done I just started the hep b series even though I’ve taken one dose back in 2015...is it too late to get a titers done now?

hopefully I get to see you at the session, I live in Houston about 50 mins from my house but I’m willing to drive if I get accepted because nursing schools in Texas is becoming sooo competitive, different school different requirements. Texas woman was the initial plan but I heard the teas is soo difficult

It is not too late to get the titers since you did have a vaccine in 2015. If your titers show that your body is still has hepB antigens then you dont have to worry about the hepB vaccine until future.

The school is about 40-50 min from my house as well. I applied to HCC, TWU, UT, Wharton Sugarland, and Alvin.

The TEAS is harder because it is more detailed overall. If you study and recently took AP 1/2 then you should be good. You just have to know functions, processes, and not only AP but also chem & bio.

Just come say hi if you happen to spot me there. ?

I'm applying to San Jacinto... both campuses. I missed the app cycle for UT, but we were told at Alvin that we can coenroll in certain BSN programs. That's what I plan on doing.

Aww man! Good thing you still have other options. I thought about applying there but too far as well. I rather drive towards Alvin.

Jay... why are you starting over? You can get a titer & the surface antibody should pop up. There is also a new Hep B where you can get the first two quick. Three director speaks about it in the information session.

Where do you live? I stay far from all of them. I stay under an hour from all canpuses. For RT school I attended San Jac central & it was an hour & 20 minutes each day.

Yeah it is an intense test. You could have tried for Wharton and Sugarland location.

Have you taken it? Did you pass?

I have taken it. I had to retake it because I did not know that for TWU the results expire within a year. I passed but not with the best scores. Either way I still submitted my apps because I rather try than not.
